Compact, and very good. It's the fourth USB hub I've owned and easily the best. It handles mixed USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 well. And it hasn't had the problems of dropped connections that some others have. I haven't needed to use the power supply, but its a nice small one that doesn't block outlets on a power strip.

I have three USB 2.0 powered hubs, and the other two (different brand) sometimes drop the connection and sometimes don't provide enough power and shut down a port or two. That never happens with this one. Always works. Nice and small too. But mostly, it works.

Great Design & Features,

This review is from: StarTech.com ST7200USB i.Connect 7 Port USB 2.0 Hub (Personal Computers)
This is my 5th plus USB 2.0 External Hub and I finally found one that meets or exceeds expectations. The 5 front ports sit vertically so several flash drives fit without getting in each other's way, while the 2 back ports sit in the traditional horizontal direction. The 7 Port USB 2.0 Hub sounded extravagant, until I started to think of the 4 USB Flask drives (256 MB to 4 GB capacity)I wanted to use with a portable USB hard drive (another great product), the digital camera and the memory stick card reader, and a PDA. I bought one, was very pleased, so now I'm buying my second. The power supply stays out of the way and allows all those USB devices to exchange data without sibling rivalry.
