I don't know of any of the specs, or how it compares to the more expensive compounds, but this thermal paste worked fine for me.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not What It Should Be
I got a tube (almost empty) with a bit of greasy water in the bottom. If this was ever a paste it broke down a long time ago. Stay Away!

I used it after removing my laptop's cooling system for cleaning. It's a 2.8 GHz P4, so it puts out a pretty good amount of heat. After cleaning, and new thermal compound, that the CPU temp went from around 70C at full load to 55-60C at full load, so everything is working fine, including the paste.

For what it's worth, the tube looks like the thumbnails that show a white tube with a thread-on cap, and not like the large product image showing a non-resealable packet.

1.0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY!, May 11, 2010

I wish I would have read the reviews on this product before buying. When it arried, the tube was the size as shown but there is hardly any product in it. The product is watery, which is not good for a silicon grease. I tried in vain to mix this product for use and all was in vain. I returned this product for a full refund.

I bought this after looking at the recommendation from some people on the product page. The actual product was a tube as they had mentioned in other reviews but it was filled with 90% air and I barely had enough for my single processor heat sink. Also the thing was watery and diluted. How do you expect to apply that on a processor when it looks like it will do more harm than good. I applied it on my laptop processor and fortunately nothing serious happened to the processor. It didn't really reduce the temperature also. It was still clocking 70-80 degrees while trying to run some memory intensive applications. In fact somehow after closing the laptop back, my graphics core had got messed up resulting in strange red lines on my screen (I can accept that this is probably due to me touching something near the graphic processor). But even then this product is a crazy thing to invest in. I would suggest that you go to Frys or Tiger direct and get it there. It is more reliable and they are sold by good sellers.

This product actually comes in a squeeze tube, not the cellophane clear-pack shown with the description. It actually is 10 GRAMS (yes, that's about 10X what you normally get in the little syringes - so nice value there!). The only problem is the exorbitant shipping rates. This is a small, light product. Why is shipping so darned high?? I have to agree that it's still a good value, but it would be an AWESOME value with a more reasonable shipping fee. The shipping is at least double what it should be. If you can find this product locally, and avoid the shipping costs, snap it up!! I do hope the thermal properties are up to par though. That remains to be seen.
