Flavor Name: Café Latte
I dont know why people are bashing this product. I guess they are just starbucks haters who feel threaten that the verismo will dominate the coffee pod market. The lattes taste exactly how they do in stores. the complaint people have is you have to use multiple pods just to get a larger cup. Not true. Just push the espesso button 4x using the same pod and you have and you have a 12 oz latte. If you follow starbucks website on how to make caramel machiatto, just follow it to the instructions and you have a great machiatto. You cant do this with Keurig, Nespresso, or Tassimo. Haters do not realize the combination of 19 bars of pressure and Starbucks coffee and syrups the Verismo provides is what separates this machine from its predecessors.

Just tried the Verona coffee pod. Taste exactly like what you would buy at Starbucks but maybe better due to the 19 bar pressure instead of drip. Just push the 8 oz button. If you want a bit more push the 2oz espresso button using the same pod for a total of 10oz.

I still don't know why people bash this product. I drink all kinds of coffee and not just Starbucks exclusively. I've tried Tassimo and Keurig and they taste watered down. Nespresso is good.

I hope Starbucks makes a refill pod so I can also use different grounds

Flavor Name: Milk Pods
I find it pretty amusing that people would spend $200 or more for an espresso maker, which Starbucks staff was more than willing to demonstrate and provide samples from, and then slam the pods that they bought from Amazon.

The pods work exactly the way they're supposed to. Does the milk taste like perfectly creamy fresh-from-the-cow-this-morning milk? Of course not. If you sit at your breakfast table and savor your latte, then yes, it can taste a little watery, although this can largely be prevented by not leaving your cup there for the last final drips. But Starbucks chose a good quality dehydrated milk (I'm a backpacker; I've drunk plenty of dehydrated milk before), so yes, it does taste like actual milk.

And the whole point of this machine is that it makes a good latte in about a minute. You don't have to learn how to froth milk or wait around for the machine to prime. You just push a couple of buttons, and voila! a latte at home!

The machine is what it is. The milk pods do what the're supposed to, consistently. I haven't received a bad batch yet.

There are other machines for people who want absolutely perfect lattes and are willing to invest the time and effort. Or heck, just go to Starbucks and wait in line every morning.

I really like my Verismo, and these milk pods are fine.

If you are using the Verismo system, then you have finally capitulated to convenience. You're getting consistently fast and easy espresso at home!

I use one Verismo Espresso Roast pod and pull two shots into a demitasse cup. The first shot is comprised of over a third crema! BLISS. The next is simply an average shot. And that's where I draw the line. But if you dare, the third shot is thin, and dull. The fourth is just spent and watery.

You can get at least two good shots out of one pod. If you're are going to use the espresso to mix into another beverage or dessert, then you could go for three.

I have to disagree *entirely* with the negative comments.

Most of the "milk" products I've tasted in other pod machines have been truly terrible. Sweet and "off"-tasting. I have used the milk pods on my Verismo for Latte's and for making Hot Cocoa (using cocoa powder that didn't contain any milk) and we have been very happy with them. I admit I've never tried to drink a cup of the reconstituted milk straight--but I don't drink hot milk by itself so I wouldn't be able to tell whether it tasted funny.

If I had any complaint, it would be these are a little rich for my tastes (they taste a bit more than 2%, but certainly not like whole milk), so I run a little more water through it (which actually makes it more frothy). I wonder if people are remembering to use the Milk button on the Verismo to reconstitute the milk rather than the coffee button (which is higher temperature and will burn the milk).

By the way, you can easily get another half-cup of espresso out of an espresso pod by running the water for a few more seconds. The higher end machine allows you pull a long shot, so I thought I'd try it on my low-end machine and it works fine.

For a real holiday treat, brew the milk pod into cocoa powder, then brew an espresso pod into that, then add a shot of creme-de-menthe. It tastes like a Starbucks' peppermint mocha (with a nice kick) to keep you warm on a winter evening!

These pods are amazing and very essential for making lattes using the Verismo system. So far no issue with product souring. Seller was very prompt and price was excellent.

Flavor Name: House Blend brewed coffee
House blend is my favorite Starbucks coffee, but...$19.99?! Really? It is much cheaper on the Starbucks website, where they cost $11.95.

I use these only for emergencies, when there is no milk in the house. For that, it is worth the money, but for everyday use, WAY too expensive. I thought that the milk was okay, but I'm not so picky.
