This coffee has a nice, smooth flavor. Even though it is an extra bold, but then again I like stronger coffees. This is strong, smooth and not bitter. I know some coffees that are strong can have a bitter flavor, but not the starbucks Sumatra. The smell of course is wonderful! I like the whole bean because grinding them at home, I can increase it's flavor and it keeps the flavor fresh.

This is my favorite Starbucks coffee. 3 bags for $19+. Thats about $6.50 a bag plus you can bring the empty bag to a starbucks for a free Tall coffee($1.50). Kind've makes the bags $5 a piece.

Sumatra is a dark, fragrant coffee with hints of chocolate. It has a subtle aftertaste and is as tasty with desert as it is served black. I'm not a big fan of most Starbucks' beans, but this one breaks that trend. My wife and I find ourselves going back to this bean as our staple coffee bean of choice. If you enjoy a darker cup of coffee with some subtlety, this is a great option.

I am used to beans that are fresh roasted, day old to a week.these beans are[in my opinion]4-6 months old or more.the only saving grace is they are good beans and the great price.

Overall, I am not very impressed with Sbux's coffee, but the whole-bean Sumatra is pretty much the perfect Sumatra coffee. When it's on sale at Amazon it can't be beat for the the price. When I was roasting my own coffee, I usually was not able to get the uniformity and precision of the roast that tbhis coffee has, which is unsurprising when you consider the difference in the capabilities of our respective equipment, of course. Don't get the ground coffee, since grinding coffee makes it lose half its flavor in only 48 hours.

My favorite coffee. Sometimes the beans are cracked and/or broken to bits, but still a very tasty brew. Sumatran is definitely my fave.

The stores in town usually run out of Sumatra. I'm so please I enrolled in the auto-ship so I'll never run out and the price can't be beaten! I recommend this seller to anyone who is a large coffee drinker.

This was purchased for my husband, a huge coffee fan. He was impressed with the robust flavor of Starbucks Sumatra.

This dark roast is one of Starbuck's better coffee's & is my 2nd favorite next to Starbuck's French Roast. Even smells good & in my opinion tastes great with some sugar in the cup. If Amazon puts this on sale then I'll sure buy it!!

Sumatra is my favorite coffee. I have an espresso machine at home so I make my own latte everyday. If you like strong coffee, this is it. I couldn't believe it was on Today's special. I have it on auto delivery and it's a very good deal. Amazon is my favorite online shopping place.
