5.0 out of 5 stars This is a great cup of coffee...
I do not by any stretch of the imagination drink a huge amount of coffee. In fact, I limit myself to one "cup" per day. I bought my Tassimo machine on a whim. I was sick of buying expensive coffee and making inferior coffee in my coffee maker. These "T-disks" are expensive but over the long haul, I think that I'll come out cheaper using them. That being said, the coffee...

3.0 out of 5 stars Expensive for the quality
I think the Starbucks discs are expensive for the quality. You get fewer cups of coffee per pack than with other Tassimo products.

I was sick of buying expensive coffee and making inferior coffee in my coffee maker. These "T-disks" are expensive but over the long haul, I think that I'll come out cheaper using them. That being said, the coffee is AMAZING. The Africa Kitamu is bold, rich, and has an almost fruity quality about it. I absolutely love it. I do wind up using the manual button on my Tassimo to add extra water to the coffee but it is still amazing.

Do take the time to recycle the plastic disks though...

5.0 out of 5 stars It doesn't get any better than this!, January 12, 2008

I was anxiously awaiting the Starbucks discs and the wait was well worth it. If you like your coffee bold, then the Africa Kitamu (the Verona too) is the T disc for you. I usually brew a full pot of various coffees in the morning, but now I've been doing my Tassimo Africa even before that. It's become a guilty pleasure.
Sure, price per cup is higher than the full pot, but it is so worth it. I agree with another Starbucks t disc reviewer...if Starbucks offered greater variety (including a good decaf) there would be no need to look further for any other coffees.

5.0 out of 5 stars My favorite so far, January 19, 2008
This review is from: Starbucks Africa Kitamu, T-Discs for Tassimo System, 6.1-Ounce Packages (Pack of 2) (Misc.)
I have tried at least six different coffees for the Tassimo machine that I purchased in mid-December, 2007, and this is my favorite. I choose it both in the morning and after dinner. The flavor is more interesting than Starbucks House Blend. I plan to restock on this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Delicious T-Disc Worth Every Penny, December 4, 2009

I completely agree with another reviewer who said why buy any other T-Disc coffee. After sampling most of the coffee varieties offered for my Tassimo this is easily the best. I drink my coffee black and I prefer bold brews -- and I've tried all the bold T-Discs. That said, I do not like the bitterness and burnt taste that often accompanies bold coffee.

Starbucks Africa Kitamu is so smooth and rich and has absolutely no aftertaste. The flavor does not deteriorate as the cup cools off -- it remains excellent. Before I tried this variety my favorite was Starbucks' Verona t disc, but although Verona is excellent, Africa has taken its place. The two-pack offered by Amazon is a good buy, and if bold is your preference this is a stellar choice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Deep Rich Flavor, April 21, 2008
This review is from: Starbucks Africa Kitamu, T-Discs for Tassimo System, 6.1-Ounce Packages (Pack of 2) (Misc.)
This coffee is not for people who like a mild and weak flavor. The flavor is intense and bold as the dark continent itself. A cup of this in the morning is a real waker upper.

I've tried several of the Starbucks T-discs and this is the best. I've tried French press, etc. and just haven't been able to come close to the Starbucks flavor, but this is the closest (and Cheapest) yet.

It seems strange that people are not rating this cup of coffee from Starbucks the
best. I used to own and manage a coffee shop in Hawaii, and we had some wonderful
Kona, Blue Mountain, etc. But to me it was not as wonderful as Starbucks Africa
Kitamu. It's dark, no bitterness, very tasty and I have no negatives to report. Jill
