Starbucks Latte Primo is a Treat,

I am very impressed with Starbucks' Latte Primo. I love drinking strong black coffee, and also enjoy coffee drinks. My favorite T-Discs for coffee are Starbucks Caffe Verona and Africa Kitamu. Prior to sampling the Starbucks Latte and Cappuccino, my choice was Gevalia Latte and Cappuccino T-Discs because I found their espresso better (stronger) than Maxwell House's. Those two brands share the same creamers and although they are certainly acceptable, they have a stronger cooked milk flavor compared to Starbuck's.
Starbucks espresso is a great improvement over the Gevalia, and its presence in the Latte is key to my five star rating for the drink. I also prefer the new creamer developed by Starbucks. The creamer does contain a small amount of sugar, and although the reason for its inclusion is unclear, I didn't find the sweetness noticeable. The latte creamer produces a luxurious quantity of creamy decadent foam. I have attached a picture of the latte while in the process of brewing because sometimes marketing photos don't look like the result obtained in real life. The cup in the pictures holds 8 ounces filled to the brim. The latte has 80 calories, 4 grams of sugar and 5 grams of fat. For me there is no turning back. Once I finish the remaining Gevalia Latte and Cappuccino I have on hand, Starbucks will be the only brand I'll buy.

I tried Starbucks Latte Primo this morning and was thrilled with the flavor! To me, it tastes exactly like a latte I would get at Starbucks. The ratio of crema to espresso was excellent, and the head on the crema was perfect. This is impressive and uplifting, since I have found the other Starbucks T-Disc products to be lacking.
While the flavor was spot-on, the serving size was a little measly. I suggest, if you can afford it, that you make a double-dose. It's still less expensive than a trip to Starbucks, and you don't have to leave your house to get your latte fix!

Starbucks latte primo -why sweetened?,

This is a good tasting latte, almost as good as going to a Starbucks itself except for one thing. I don't understand why the milk disc has sugar in it. When you get a latte at Starbucks there is no sweetener added. It's a turn off for those of us trying to do a home brew latte with the Starbucks flavor.Starbucks Latte Primo, T-Discs for Tassimo Coffeemakers, 8 Count Packages (Pack of 2)

I am usually not a fan of the Tassimo products that have milk discs, because the ones I had previously tried had a chemical-like taste. However, I did give this Starbucks Latte Primo a try and was pleasantly surprised. One thing I don't like is the delay between the milk and the expresso. My Tassimo machine runs the milk through fine, and then I replace the milk disc with the expresso, and then I have to wait for it to heat up again. Occasionally, it surprises me by being ready to run the expresso right away, but that's rare.
Note a cheaper and just as good approach as this product (in my opinion) is to use your own milk and an expresso disc. I fill a small coffee cup about half full with milk, put that into the microwave for about 30 seconds while waiting for the Tassimo to preheat for the expresso. Then I run the expresso in, and then usually press and hold the button until the cup is full.

I like this better than the Starbucks Cappuccino. Lots of frothy cream on top, as good a coffee from a $3,000 restaurant machine.

I was blown away by this latte. It was absolutely delicious. There's a milk DISC and a coffee DISC. "Brew" the milk DISC first in your Tassimo and then the coffee. Besides the nice froth that is made the latte needed absolutely no sugar. This is the first time I didn't have to doctor up a latte or cappucino. I highly recommend this for the taste.

The Starbucks Latte Primo coffee, for the Tassimo single-serve coffee maker, is probably my favorite coffee. I'm a latte drinker, usually order a skinny vanilla latte at Starbucks, and do appreciate how good their coffee is. So I was delighted to see this product available for my Bosch Tassimo coffee maker. It comes with several latte milk t-discs, and a matching number of espresso t-discs. You use one of each (starting with the milk t-disc) to make a latte. For a special visual treat, brew this into a clear glass or cup. The verdict is: Starbucks Latte Primo is...primo! Very creamy, great coffee...I add a little sugar-free vanilla syrup and it's as good as any skinny vanilla latte straight from Starbucks.

Typical of Starbucks, this latte has more espresso flavor than most other brands. Yes, it costs a bit more, but you have to pay for indulgence. On the other hand, it's sure a lot less expensive than a Starbucks drive-thru.

Love it!,

The first brand I tried was Maxwell House latte. It was BITTER. Not good at all, even with tons of sweetener and even creamer added. These Starbucks Latte Discs are wonderful. It really tastes just like Starbucks, and I can actually add a normal amount of vanilla syrup to it to get a true Starbucks experience. I have even added white chocolate to these, and made a white mocha...yum. These discs are very versatile, and you can really make almost any of the Starbucks espresso drinks with them (other than cappuccino, of course, but that's it's own disc). I don't really like a plain latte, but even this was pretty good without any flavoring. I have seen some people complaining about the milk being too sweet, but I think if they hadn't read the ingredients, they wouldn't have known :). Trust me, I like sweets added to my coffee, but not too sweet...and this is not sweet without flavoring or sugar added. Good Starbucks coffee flavor, not bitter, and no weird aftertaste like the Maxwell House left me with. I'm definitely loving Starbucks T-discs!! Just like having a Starbucks in your kitchen!

makes a very good latte,
This review is from: Starbucks Latte Primo, T-Discs for Tassimo Coffeemakers, 8 Count Packages (Pack of 2) (Grocery)
I am new to Tassimo, have tried a few varieties from Gevalia, Starbucks and others. So far this is the best. The milk disc makes a good foamy milk, although it does have a somewhat cooked milk taste, like condensed milk. The coffee disc makes a great espresso and I find that I can add extra water to it during the brewing process without ending up with a watery coffee. My biggest complaint with the tassimo so far is that the discs make a weak cup of coffee. I find that at the end of the brewing cycle pretty much clear water is coming out, so with the other t-discs I remove the cup a little early so it does not get wattered down. This is not a problem with the Starbucks Latte, so I applaud Starbucks for that. I have read elsewhere of a contract dispute between Kraft which distributes the Tassimo discs (and Starbucks coffee in supermarkets) and Starbucks is threatening withdrawing their Tassimo products. I hope not! If anyone has any suggestions for other t-discs that make a nice strong but not too dark cup of coffee please post!
