4.0 out of 5 stars fine balance
Pink Martinin's "Do You Hear What I Hear" is wistful and even subtly political without being nostalgic. KT Tunstall's "2000 Miles" hews the original by the Pretenders but isn't a carbon copy. Mindy Smith, who should be huge any day now, makes "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve" both prim and sexy.

1.0 out of 5 stars Will not play on your Windows computer!
The music is fine but nothing special. However, this CD is protected by DRM so that Windows Media Player will refuse to copy it to your computer or to your portable music players. So I'd recommend another Christmas compilation instead.

Nat King Cole, Dean Martin, Ella Fitzgerald and other superstars of yesteryear round out the CD, so people of any age who like Christmas music should find something to enjoy.

I got the CD for under $8 at Starbucks, with a free beverage.

And I had no problem copying the CD to my iTunes library on a Windows machine.
