5.0 out of 5 stars Good, light-weight shoe for everyday wear
This is a good, light-weight shoe. It is very well ventillated, so it's best worn indoors or in warm weather. I wouldn't recommend it for running or sports activities, but for everyday walking, you can't beat it for the price.

3.0 out of 5 stars Starbury Running Shoe
Shoe is decently made, but not recommended for hard use. Have been using for a month and already the front of shoe is coming apart. For normal wear (walking/running) that does not involve intense sport-like movements (raquetball/basketball), it is a good deal.

I was looking for a pair of sneakers that would not easily tear or start getting holes in it while at work. I don't really do athletic stuff, but a shoe from a local store started tearing at the edges of the toe section (the left and right corners that tend to fold when your toes bend at the ball of your foot). Those shoes were obviously not so great. So, I sent for the Starbury shoes! I went with Navy/White, and they look great!

These shoes have fabric at that common bending point, so they will not easily tear like the solid material my other shoes had. The heel area is indeed fairly weak, so when one puts their shoe on without a shoe-horn, it tends to get folded down. A quick flip with ye olde finger fixes it right up though. And, for the price, I am willing to throw in the extra maneuver when I put my shoes on.

I found these shoes to be really nice, and as long as they last me more than a few months, I will be looking for more in the future! Thank you for having these available!

1.0 out of 5 stars Bad Quality, February 11, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The bottom of the shoe cracked all the way across the shoe and all the way to my sock after wearing three times under light conditions. I never had this happen except for with a pair of Stacy Adams shoes that got a huge gaping hole in the bottom. Stay away.

Update: I contacted the company regarding this product, and they refuse to stand by their product. They hide behind the terms and conditions agreed to when the purchase was made on amazon.com even though the product is clearly defective. I only asked for a replacement, and they refuse to provide a replacement! How sad!

2.0 out of 5 stars Beware of Marginal Quality, December 8, 2010

At this point, I can't comment about the durability of the shoe, but I can say the shoe is comfortable and the price is great. Although, my size was unavailable in the color, black, I bought the white and blue shoe which looks nice. Lastly, I like the fact that the shoelaces are just the right length so they don't droop on the ground. ;)

UPDATE: Within 2 weeks of purchase, one of the soles came partly unglued where the sole wraps around to the toes. Unfortunately, one can't walk with a flapping sole. ;) This problem was handled with some fabric glue. Within 4 months, these shoes were basically falling apart. Hence, I'm downgrading my review from 4 to 2 stars. Overall, I wouldn't buy these shoes again. If you feel bold, buy some fabric glue first. ;)

If you looking for some shoes to wear you cant beat the price. But for running its a bit lopsided and you feel like your on stilts. Almost like there isnt enough sole on the inside. I see myself spraining an ankle very easily on these and I was only on a treadmill. I had to go back to my old Nikes. I think if you have small feet its ok but if yours are wide these shoes wont support you much at all.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good price, durability lacking, May 28, 2009

Nice, lightweight, and comfortable, but I've only been wearing them for a couple of weeks and the sole on one is beginning to come apart from the rest of the shoe at the heel. This is from normal use, no running or sports of any kind. That being said, it's nothing a little super glue can't fix and for the price, it's sure hard to complain too much.

It does'nt feel like a $70-$100 sneaker, I've only had them for a month, it seems like it may not stand up to the test of time, but I'll have to see. He came to my Boston Celtics so I had to buy his sneakers. They are comfy and very light.
