Starcrash marks one of John Barry's earliest attempts at scoring a science fiction film and, in your humble reviewers opinion, he succeeded greatly. The music is bold, brassy, and bombastic - everything we loved about late 1970s/early 1980s film music. The score does, unfortunately, suffer from some of the repetition that John Barry indulged upon throughout his career, but is still a solid composition that goes above and beyond what this cheap Star Wars knock-off deserved.
