A young girl was kidnapped by the Shawnee she lived with them for many years and grew to love them.she was rescued and was taken back to the white world. She fell in love with her rescuer and he fell in love with her. The story is about the many problems they have,she doesn't like the whiteman's world and wants to return to the Indians he wants her to stay with him in civilization.It is a good story,
