This small egg pan seemed just what I needed to replace my 5 inch cast iron pan for gently cooking an egg.

I am slightly disappointed with the "non-stick" aspects of this glass lined pan. It is NOT as effective as Teflon (which I will no longer ever use). Even when I add a small amount of oil, the egg still sticks in certain places.

I also purchased a 10.5 inch fry pan of the same product line (Starfrit Eco Pan). The 10.5 inch pan has a glass coating that has a slightly different appearance. When I use it, it is the best NON-stick fry pan I have ever used. It is still "new" so I can not attest to how it will hold up, but at this point I am delighted with it.

Neither pan has a logo. I do not know if Starfrit is not proud of their products or if there is some other reason for omitting the identy.

I highly endorse the larger pan, but I would NOT buy anothr of the 5.5 inch pans (or one with same coating version).

Nice small pan works as advertised. Non-stick is good. For the price I paid, I am impressed. Perfect size for a one egg omelet. The pan has an odd, thin riveted handle, which is not obvious from the photo. For this, I have given one less star. I prefer the Berndes design, but they don't make a pan this small, and the cost is significantly more. You can find a lid that fits. It is the Ballarini Tempered Glass 14 cm lid. Amazon has this for sale too. Type B000PQP83I in the search line. You will be happy.

I'm not sure what the reviewer that commented on the surface being different than the larger pans was referring to. Looks and acts exactly the same.It works perfect for my 2 egg omelets. It's not the same heavy construction as the larger pans but for the small size it doesn't have to be. The surface is all I could ask for. Use a light coat of oil as instructed and wash with soapy water and the surface looks like new. I'm delighted with all the Starfrit pans.

I ordered this small frying pan specifically beacuse it is listed for induction ranges/cooktops. As stated in "Product Features": "Integrated induction base is for use on all stovetops including induction". Well, not so, it is not designed for induction cooking and does not work on my induction cooktop. $17,58 thrown away due to misinformation. Stay away if you need a pan that can be used on induction plates/cooktops.
Update: Product features updated since my initial review and no longer list this pan for use with induction cooktops. Kudos to Amazon for quick update. One star was for misinformation only, not for the quality of the product that I cannot evaluate

Was looking for a small ceramic non-stick pan for pancakes and eggs - not so many to choose from, only found this one. It states the size is 5.5", but they probably measured on the top, not on the bottom: it goes much smaller on the bottom, where the working surface is, and I got somewhat dissapointed with that.

Also, don't use an oil spray - it burns on this pan, although I did use the same oil spray on my old teflon little pan and it never burnt.

After a couple of uses I sort of managed to adjust: replaced the oil spray with regular oil, and I cannot make pancakes on big fire, it burns - but on medium fire and with regular oil it's OK. Cleans pretty well.

Buying the second one to save time in the mornings (I have 2 kids, and it's a real time saver to make pancakes or eggs on 2 pans in the mornings). HOWEVER... I don't recommend this pan to those who don't have patience to adjust things etc, it will really get you frustrated. I am quite patient, so it did work for me.

I have Ozeri 10" ceramic frying pan - I am very much happy with it, I just wish they had small ones, but they only keep 8", 10" and 12" :(

This is a great little non-stick pan! It is perfect to cook one egg, one hamburger patty, or to saute a single serving of something. I use a little spray of PAM, just out of habit. It's much better than other surfaces such as Teflon or Tefal and I don't have to worry about ingesting dangerous chemicals.

One reviewer said that he sent the pan back because it was too small; the dimensions are listed in the description including the word "mini." Granted, it won't accommodate an omelete for a family of four, but it's the perfect size for one egg. I also use it to melt butter, sautee seasonings and herbs, pan-toast pinenuts, etc. And it is used as often as my large frying pans. But the beauty of it is that it's nonstick without toxic chemicals. I have a 10" solid ceramic Xtreme Ceramcor frypan that I paid $100 for, and this little pan has the same interior cooking surface. For the price, this little frypan is great, I'm glad I bought it. This pan has has not disappointed.

I bought this pan mostly for melting butter and crushed garlic for garlic bread and then an occasional egg. You do need to put a little butter in it for the egg, it's not truly non-stick, but cleans up easily enough. Works great for melting small quantities of butter etc when you really don't need anything larger. I only gave it 4 stars because the non-stick still sticks (when I flipped the egg the second side stuck a little) even with a small amount of butter... maybe this will change as the pan gets broken in. But I'm happy with the purchase for my needs which are mostly melting small quantities of product.

I bought this pan so I could make my fried egg without dirtying up a large pan. I have had it for two years. It works wonderfully. I don't have to use much oil to coat it. It cleans easily and is the perfect size for one to two eggs. I would love a larger one some day.

I purchased this after trying out another one (which was terrible) and I've been very happy with this one and actually bought an additional one as well. Great Teflon surface for easy clean up. Highly recommend
