Wow! This story capitvated me from the opening chapter and kept me turning the page to read on and on! Well written and entertaining, I thought all the characters were true to canon and were the ones I knew and loved from the TV series. The story starts off with a little bit of fun, goes on to the team going to a moon headed into its sun to see if there are any humans or Ancient techology to save, and goes on to the team having to find a way to escape the moon and get back home to Atlantis. This is the kind of story I would have loved to have seen on TV. If you enjoyed the TV series, I believe you will enjoy this novel as well....I know I did! I hope the authors write another SGA book, if they do...I will buy it as well! Keep those SGA books coming!

Atlantis notices a small moon has broken orbit and is on a collision course with it's sun. When the team investigates, they find another "Atlantis", inhabited by a group of ancients who enjoy gladiator games - and guess who the new participants are going to be?As one of the many thousands of people who were heartbroken when SGA was cancelled, I was thrilled to find books (AND a few audio cd's) about SGA. (Amazon doesn't quite get the numbering system correct, this is book #15 in the series). The authors are wonderful and the stories are true to the characters. I have purchased all 15 and have the next 2 books pre-ordered. As long as they continue to write them, I will continue to buy.

This writer clearly did not have a good understanding of the characters. Especially Rodney. The plot was predictable and at times just silly. Don't waste your time.

Loved the series and now the books.....didn't know they existed until I did a search here on Amazon and was so pleased to see them offered. Even though the show is gone, I can still enjoy one of my favorite series in print.

This was a book that I was looking forward to reading when I saw it and had to wait for what seemed like forever due to the publisher pushing it back. When I finally got it, I was a tad disappointed only because the book didn't seem to live up to its billing. The book takes place during Season 5 as Woolsey is in charge of Atlantis. He is very minor in the book as this book does take the main team and keep them together, which I like but also introduced a new character for this book. Parts of the book seemed to drag on some but overall was entertaining. It read like an episode of the show. It might get blended in with some of the others out there though as it doesn't jump out as a fantastic read that kept me wondering what would happen like some of the others but was easy to read. I would recommend but if you want to chose some, look at some of the others first.
