Book Description

May 5, 2009
Stargate SG-1 follows a unique team of a Special Operations Colonel, an Archaeologist, an Astrophysicist and an Alien Warrior on their missions through an ancient "gate" to new worlds where they encounter fascinating, but sometimes dangerous cultures. This team, known as SG-1, works under the auspices of a covert agency known as the SGC, a division of Air Force. Their intelligence is highly classified; only the President and the Joint Chiefs know of its existence. Stargate SG-1 began filming on February 18, 1997 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Its initial commitment of 44 episodes went on to span 10 years as a series and into movies. This book includes Character and Star Bios, A Complete 10 Year Episode Guide with background information & production notes, Glyphs/Addresses, Goa'uld & Unas Dictionaries, Jaffa Tattoos, Cheyenne Mountain Floor Plans, Looks into the Movies and TV Series Production.

1.0 out of 5 stars Bad site rip, June 8, 2009
This review is from: Stargate SG-1 The Complete Episode Guide (Paperback)
I'm sure this book will look really nice, and be a very complete book to those who purchase it and are not a big part of the online community, but sadly it's just a site rip from Kate Ritter's website rdanderson.com. Now this wouldn't be quite so bad if it was published by Ms Ritter herself (the author of the Stargate SG-1: The Complete Visual Guide) but it seems Mr Branson-Trent is trying to claim it's his own work. Makes me sad to have bought it, but at least now the website author knows that someone else is making money on her work.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do Not Buy, June 20, 2009
This review is from: Stargate SG-1 The Complete Episode Guide (Paperback)
Jaymatch is correct: this is a complete rip-off of Kate Ritter's website. Ms. Ritter put hours of hard work into creating her Stargate guide for the free enjoyment of fans. Mr. Branson-Trent has stolen her work. Please do not support this theft by purchasing this book. If you wish to read the guide, go to www.rdanderson.com. I do hope that Amazon wakes up and takes this listing down, and that it investigates this so-called author's other listings.
