Format: Audio CD
With a giant step beyond the hazy country-fuzz of their 2009 debut "Survival", this Brooklyn band
delivers some dark & shadowy, cinematic Americana that's deeply rooted in classic, big guitar pop
hooks, while carrying some surprisingly compelling & strange melodic twists. It's a place where
depth and vision sit with accessible experimentation in a comfortable arm chair, soaking up some
poignantly ripping guitar riffs and a sincere, soulful eloquence. This one feels like a sleeper that
will become well acquainted with my stereo. At times I hear the National, Dawes, David Bowie,
the Walkmen, U2, Phosphorescence, Dr. Dog, Pink Floyd, Velvet Underground. Nice.
