I tend to agree with the reviewers below except for the songwriting, which a set of consistent hooks are lacking. The guitar and vocals are great, and a few of the songs stick with you over time. "Haunted" is a neat experiment, and could have been a knockout tune with a more distinguishable chorus. This album sounds tremendous while it is on, but dosen't leave enough behind when it is done. Still, it is much better than many of the bands out there, and remember that it usually takes a band two or three albums under their belt before they deliver their masterpiece (like with Allister and Green Day.) Give them time.

This record is awesome. I know these guys and they have been through alot as a band just to keep it going. Matt wrote some excellent lyrics, Ryan wrote some awesome songs and to this day, i listen to it all the time as one of my favorite records. i suggest you buy this. Its got a pop punk flavor to it but a lot of riffs, great vocals and melodies and plenty of dynamics... great songwriting. buy it.

Simply put this is amazing music. Passionate. Honest. No pretense. Listen...

this band is realy good. I listened to a couple samples and song from friends, and I'm gonna get this CD. "Invite Only" is my favorite song on this CD. There are so many bands who have this sound of music, but Staring Back takes it to another level. This CD is awesome, go out and buy it!!!

Great album! The vocals are great, it's pretty melodic.

This is one of the best albums i've heard in a long time. Staring back has a whole new, fresh feel to them. chill and flowy melody, with heavy guitar tones, which makes for a mellodic but heavy music experience. You want music to pump you up? this is it. recomended not to listen to this while driving...you might end up getting a speeding ticket!
