The holidays just haven't been the same since Carole Hanson's mother died. She isn't in the Christmas spirit, and she hasn't caught on to her best friends Stevie Lake's and Lisa Atwood's Christmas joy-yet that is.Judy Barker,Pine Hollow's vet, hires Carole as a temporary assistant, and Carole begins to cheer up a little. Not to mention, she'll have the Starlight Ride to look...

But then she is reminded of her mothers death, so the only thing that would cheer her up is to assist Pine Hollows local vet. But Stevie, Lisa and colonol Hanson have a special Christmas present, a horse named Pretty Boy, ( later known as Starlight) That might be pretty much all the cheering up Carole would need. I love this book, and so will you!( if you don't already)

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful story, the best of the Saddle Club!, December 29, 1998
By A Customer
I loved this book! The fact that Bonnie Bryant doesn't give away the secret until the very last moment, kept me reading for hours! The idea of the Starlight Ride makes the me wish that Christmas was all year round! This book is also really good, by the fact that we have already met Pretty Boy in the Saddle Club edition 'Horse Wise'. We all now that Carole deserved a horse long ago, and it's finally made a wish come true!! A brilliant read!!! And worth 5 stars! I think it's the best Saddle Club book, out of all of them!

5.0 out of 5 stars Starlight Christmas, a heart warming christmas story., August 22, 1998
By A Customer
When I read Starlight Christmas it was christmas eve, which was very appropriate. I thought the story-line was wonderful and the whole story was like a dream come true, yet possible! All of the Saddle Club Books are marvellous, but this one stood out to me more than the others. I''ve read it again and again. You never get tired of it. I reccomend this book to any one!

This is a great book!Hardly sad at all.Another awesome Saddle Club book!

5.0 out of 5 stars My favourite S.C. book!, July 25, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Starlight Christmas (Saddle Club(R)) (Paperback)
[I'm sorry if my English is too bad too understand something;-)]

"Starlight Chrismas (in Germany it was "Ausritt imSchnee Sattelclub Band Nr. 14") " is really one of my favourite S.C. books. I read one month before christmas, and after twenty pages I couldn't expect the 24. of december anymore! No doubt the best part was when Ben, Stevie, Phil and Lisa made Veronica's horse "sick"... Or when Carole's father told her that Starlight belonged her... Or when Veronica's "friends" found out that they had brought their own horses outside... Or... -this book has so many highlights that I read it about 5 times whithout getting tired of it. My only problem with the original books from america is that so many characters have different names like in Germany- for ex. : Stevie Lake= Jenny Lake Carole Hanson = Laura Hanson Lisa Atwood = Julia Atwood Starlight = Silberstern and so on

And here all books come out 2 years later and are not in the same order like the originals. ( Only one serie ) Maybe I'll read a Saddle Club book sometime in English...

5.0 out of 5 stars A perfect Christmas, October 17, 1998
By A Customer
I loved this book and still do. In my opinion, and I'm sure in everyone one else's, this book deserves a 10+, just like WESTERN STAR. This book, "Starlight Christmas", contained great detail, excitement, education, humor, and, best of all, horses.

4.0 out of 5 stars a horse of her own, October 29, 2005
This review is from: Starlight Christmas (Saddle Club(R)) (Paperback)
Carole Hanson is feeling down and not in the holiday mood because of memories of her mother who passed away from cancer. But her friends and father are planning a surprise, one that's probably the biggest one she's ever had. Plus, the girls will get to go on the Starlight Ride, a nightime Christmas Eve
tradition at Pine Hollow. Little does Carole know what's in store for her at the end of it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great!, July 30, 2003
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Starlight Christmas (Saddle Club(R)) (Paperback)
This book was good and I like the way Bonnie had Carole riding Starlight, or Petty Boy as he was called, to Pine Hollow because Veronica thought her horse, Garnet, was sick but Lisa, Stevie, Phil, and Phil's best friend, A.J. played a joke on her. This book was petty good. It's a book that you would love to read if you like romance, are horse-crazy, and would like to own a horse.
