While this book is great for it's pictures, lyrics and overall camp value, it doesn't do the current London show (now closed) much justice. I was lucky enough to see the Final Show in London, and must point out that the "New London" Starlight Express is different from the one that closed. As for as this book is concerned "He'll Whistle At Me" was removed years ago, but everything else is accurate enough.
While the music for piano is a little monotonous, if you've heard the actual CD or seen the show this book is a lovely item to own. :) It's fun to sing along to, and is a great collectors item.

This book contains vocal selections to be accompanied by either piano, guitar or possibly both. It's a good book, clear, well laid out and and also includes 8 photographs of the cast in costume.

This book contains: Rolling Stock, He'll Whistle at Me, AC/DC, Pumping Iron, Crazy, Make Up My Heart, U.N.C.O.U.P.L.E.D., Starlight Sequnce, Next Time You Fall In Love, One Rock 'n' Roll Too Many and Light At the End of the Tunnel.

My only complaint is that it doesn't include some group songs like: Freight, Lotta Locomotion, Coaches Rolling Stock and Right Place, Right Time.

I have bought this book and love it! IT comes with brilliantly beautifull pictures inside and comes with all the good songs. AC/DC, Next Time you fall in love, Light at the end of the Tunnel, Crazy, Make up my heart, He'll whistle at me and More!

It's a good book, but some of the songs are either too repititious or just not meant for solo piano. I love the music, but without singing, it may seem too redundant.

It was a dark day when ALW closed down the Apollo Victoria on 1-12-02. I saw pictures on the net of the set being dismantled. Too bad. Let's hope he comes through with his promise to make a movie out of it. In the meantime, Starlight is playing in Bochum Germany [near Dusseldorf/Cologne] in a fantastic purpose-built arena. And ALW claims he will have the show touring England in the next year. Starlight Express, answer me yes . . .
