Product Description
We tested the accuracy of this rule with a precision caliper. The display read 6.000" on the dot. Now that's Starrett accuracy! Features 1/32" graduations on the short end of the rule, making it perfect for setting bit and blade heights. Compact size means it will always be handy in an apron pocket. The first two long edges are graduated in 8ths and 16ths, while the edges on the flip-side are graduated in 32nds and 64ths. Finely-etched black lines on a satin steel background make for easy reading and minimal glare. Rigid tempered steel won't bend out of shape. End graduations go up to 1/2".

This is one of the most basic measuring devices found in the pocket of any tool and die maker. Starrett continues to make durable and practical tools. The C604RE-6 Six Inch Steel Rule is another accurate measuring devise made by Starrett. It is a basic 6 inch steel rule, but the selling point is that it is a quality, durable, and precision-made item that fits handily into any pocket protector for years of use.

Really, it doesn't. Starrett is well known for precision and this little jewel doesn't disappoint. The graduations are clear and easy to read. The end graduations come in really handy when measuring the height of a router bit or saw blade. It's expensive, yes, but clearly it's not a cheap made in Taiwan piece of stamped steel. Don't let it fall on the floor, that's the only think one must keep in mind.

This company is well known for high quality precision measuring instruments.
If you want exact precision, this is your go to company. I have used them since pre-internet, when I had to mail away for them, and i have never once been disappointed.This six inch rule is very clear easy to read and the 1/32 graduations on the end help greatly for scribe offsets and small lip measurments.
