I've had the pleasure of enjoying Mr. Iglesias
music for many years. Only saw him in concert once.
It is very hard to describe how his music effects me.
Now matter how rough the work day has been,all I have
to do is put in one of his CD's & the day doesn't seem
so bad.
I think that says it all.

This is a lovely CD, comprised of beautiful love songs and ballads sung by the incomparable Julio Eglesias, who has one of the most memorable and romantic voices ever to grace the music industry. This is a first rate recording of some all time hit music. There is not one bad track on this ten track CD. Even my teenage daughter, who rarely agrees with me on anything, loves it. I rest my case.

This was my first Julio CD and I have loved listening to it ever since. I would recommend it to the first time buyers! "If You Go Away" is my favorite track and I can't imagine anyone "Going Away" from Juilio after they hear him sing this!

this has got to be the smoothest album ever produced. it's like you're gliding along a wintery tundra, the cold distant sun shining down on you, and yet you are enveloped with warmth like so many woolen blankets.

i'm not sure exactly how this production motif was concocted or exactly which synth sounds were employed, but good lord does it work. when i've got a nighttime flight, and the airplane ascends above the ever-more-distant city lights below, i'll play track 3 - 'mona lisa' and the result is the most peaceful sensation i could ever describe. or on a lazy, hot summer afternoon - i'll play track 7 - '99 miles from l.a.' and it may as well be god's soundtrack. during the melancholy overnight hours, i'll play track 9 - 'if you go away' and it'll hurt so good you won't want the pain to go away.

the other tracks are gems as well. this record is, in my opinion, the biggest and brightest diamond in the rough that i've yet found.

I first heard this CD about 16 years ago, and I moved several times since then, and I lost the original CD. Thanks to Amazon, I found it again :-) I think this is one of Julio Iglesia's all time classic.

Starry Night is my first album by Julio, but it will not be my last. This one album has elevated him to the top of my favorite male singers list. His performance of Mona Lisa tops Nat King Cole.

Julio is one of those guys that every women wishes she could have. He has a awesome voice that makes you want to weep, when he sings its as he is singing directly into your heart.

on first hearing this guy sing(now i know it's julio)something sober and meditative welled up in me and long after i sought out a private place to enjoy the poetic notes still wafting in my head.
julio's great talent lies in that special ability to use his voice to reach that very private room in the soul,arresting the mind through the poetry in his lines.
after listening to starry starry night,99 miles from LA,i never stopped buying julio's songs
for those who love meditative songs i'll say enjoy it.
