Stolen music from Hollywoods #1 fraud,
By
This review is from: Stars Are Blind (Audio CD)
The music from this song is stolen bar by bar from UB40's Kingston Town. All they did was drop on new lyrics and add a chorus. But it is a complete rip off of UB40. Nothing about this girl is original.

A previous reviewer wants to know why so many people give Paris Hilton "a bad rep?" It's sad that in today's day and age there are too many people who refuse to acknowledge the fact that Miss Hilton gets the attention that she does because of her last name. This woman never had to work a day in her life and yet she is HANDED (courtesy of daddy's connections) TV shows, book deals and, now, a recording contract.
Whatever happened to the days of having to actually WORK for what you have? Sad to think of all the hardworking solo acts and groups out there who work their tails off in America's club circuit and who write their own songs (that doesn't mean jotting down poems and having the record company get a studio musician to set it to music) who will never be heard so the public can be further saturated with Paris Hilton's monster ego trip. The saddest part of all is that Hilton really believes all the hype. She has it in her feeble mind that she's some sort of icon. Paris Hilton cannot sing, she cannot act (a "reality" show hardly qualifies as acting!), she cannot write, and still the sorry excuse that's called the American media continue to heap mounds of attention on her because she's an airhead. Let's be real: Paris Hilton is famous for being a trust-funded amateur porno star. Nothing more. Save your money and skip this atrocity. - Donna Di Giacomo

Horrible, absolutely horrible,

This song, as well as the album is really, really bad. I tried so hard to give her the benefit of the doubt, but in the end, she proved to be no more a singer than she is an actress. Listen to it online, but don't even think to pay money for it. Give it another month or two and you'll be sick of this song and wish you'd never bought the album. It's really not worth it.

She is serious about her "music" career. I guess this is something else to pass the time between boyfriends and porn tapes. I can't for the life of me understand what made her famous in the first place.

Pathetic Paris,
This review is from: Stars Are Blind (Audio CD)
I was mildly put off by the fact that she is singing now.
I heard the song, and it is extremely catchy...extremely! I still have it stuck in my head. And I didn't hate it, but that's not saying I liked it either. It could have been given to anyone. Anyone could have given a better performance (I can hear Gwen Stefani doing a much better and more vampy version). Paris's song, however, comes across as post-Britney breathe-singing. Boring. Before I had heard anything, I had to be fair and realize that I don't know Paris, so I can't really judge her. But now I can judge her...music at least. So listen to whatever music you want, but keep in mind that this is the woman who dares to compare herself to such individual greats as Marilyn Monroe and Madonna, when Paris is in fact, just a ripoff. An expensive product that will probably sell ,yes, but still. An expensive ripoff. Behold the death of pop music. **STUPID TRIVIA** The song was released to radio on June 6th 2006. 666! :-)

Daddy...Can I Have A Record Deal???,
This review is from: Stars Are Blind (Audio CD)
What started as a spoiled little girl has now become a nationwide phenomenom, and there isn't an end in sight! Paris Hilton has become a household name for all the wrong reasons. She is a blonde, brainless heiress who has never had to lift a finger or break a sweat, yet she gets exactly what she wants!
The only reason this song is so popular is catchy rythym and a funky beat. Paris obviously did not sing this, nor does she have any understanding of how much work, effort and thought goes into creating REAL MUSIC. However, all the sheep (and I don't mean the ones that go BAAAA!) will rejoice. Another catchy, bubblegum pop melody that will soar to the top of the charts, only to vanish later as yesterday's sad, pathetic news. Please.

Paris? a singer?,

The expression on her face says, "what? I just woke up." Her singing talents leave much to be desired. Her vocal quality is very juvenile and she needs a vocal coach. There is no "meat" to the music - it is simplistic and lacks depth, not only in melody but in lyrical qualtiy as well. This is just her lates fling funded by dear ol' daddy. This star is definately blind... to reality.
And who would pay 17.99 for 5 versions of the same crappy song??

You know, I hate writing these type of reviews, but I actually can write this, since I listened to this EP.
Paris Hilton is taking what actual decent pop acts such as Madonna, Debbie Harry (of Blondie), Kylie Minogue, Janet Jackson, et al. accomplished & making it all null & void. Proving any naysayer who thinks pop is all about talentlessness & proving them correct. The song is basically a "add-a-drop-of-water-for-island-feel" type of pop cut. Paris doesn't sound horrible, but she isn't exactly a pleasing stylist either. I think my issue with this is, is unlike someone like Jennifer Lopez who had talent as an actress to at least warrant her giving a stab at a recording career: PARIS HAS NO TALENT. At all. It isn't just because she has money, she just doesn't have any sort of flair, the public is clearly fixated on her due to her overhyped pop culture status. We are the only ones to blame for allowing it to go this far. She has been able to buy her movie deals, book deals, & recording contract. Not having to work for a single thing. As a huge pop music fan, this not only embarrasses me, but has me saying what other snotty (though correct) music elitists are saying: God help us all.

not when there are REAL musicians out there with real talent that are roughing it to present their art to the world. This is a disgrace to music. period.

this is anti-music. just another example of how money is able to buy your way into the recording studio. as if she didn't waste enough money. what a contribution to society she is, ain't she?
