Argentine-French group Fous de la Mer shines in Stars and Fishes. I randomly downloaded this off iTunes and it has pleasantly surprised me. The song lyrics are in 3 languages: Spanish, French, and English. The Spanish songs sound best but the French words in Reve Est Mort are very attractive. The first track, Conmigo, is my favorite: it is the best example of the main strengths of the album. Strong but calming instrumentals combined with flawless vocals.

Got his for Track 4 mainly - Vue de la Mer - a trip-hop/jazz instrumental that evokes a vision of the sea like a modern Ravel might - the rest of the CD is more Euro pop in the lounge mode and has some notable tracks by various female vocalists - a cool piece of work from France

Ther're some good jams in here. Some have vocals others don't. I use this album ocasionly for homework. It works exceptionly well to keep they typing pace up, and because i don't understand French the words don't detract from my thought processes. I would check some of their songs out on youtube first to see if you like them. The Amazon preview won't do these songs justice. Some good ones to listen to are conmigo, esse solo, the water song, as I look around, & the real santi.

If you want to relax and have a mature conversation with a little sumthn sumthn in the background this a perfect grab.Not only will it put one in the the vibe it will take one to another step.

STARS AND FISHES is a excellent lounge CD, very relaxing but for sure it combines nature, beauty and the sea . A very kind of "music is the soul's food" !

The title pretty much sums it up well - the album has serious aquatic, and nighttime motifs to it; it's some really chill, spacey music to listen to, and especially appropriate when you want to stroll the beach at night.

Excellent all around. A must buy for chillout and lounge lovers.
Some of the lyrics are in Spanish though, be forewarned.
