Another way of looking at our flag,

This review is from: The Stars and the Stripes: The American Flag as Art and as History from the Birth of the Republic to the Present (Hardcover)
This book provides the reader or the viewer with several ways of looking at the history of the American Flag. First it is an excellent history of the flag; but it also adds an added dimension, how the flag or elements of the flag have been used as art through the ages. If you are like many people, and believe that the star pattern in the flag in the canton has not changed much over the years, this book will provide a real eye opener. The art work is excellent. This book works on many levels; you can look at the book many times and see something new every time. If you love flags you have to have this book.

This is a coffee table size book with great pictures , showing some great details of the symbol we love so much. It also contains really good info on the history of the flag . Many books like this is all about the pictures but this one is informative as well . If you love the flag you will love this book .
