1.0 out of 5 stars Total waste of time December 7, 2012

This is a VERY disappointing book if you can call it that). I was hoping for some real tips on getting started in business, instead this ended up telling you how to sell cupcakes to your kids classmates mom for those birthday treats. Big Whoop.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed December 4, 2012

This isn't even a book. Wtf. I was looking forward to reading a detailed book covering all the ins and outs of starting a bakery business. Sad.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not a book at all! December 25, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I wouldn't call this a book at all. This is more like a 2-3 page pamphlet with useless info. I was looking for some tricks or tips. Everyone knows how to make a cupcake and sell it, that doesn't make it a business. There is so much more to it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Ahhh.... where's the rest? December 18, 2012

Very short and not well detailed... everything is common sense. I was expecting a little more based on the title.

3.0 out of 5 stars Extremely basic information. Title a bit misleading. December 4, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Book was free so I downloaded it to see if this book was as disappointing as reviews stated. I read it with open mind and not expecting anything. I read it in 5 min. I gave it 3 stars because author did state up front she doesn't give legal advice and basically saying to contact professional to set up business. She mentioned a website tip I didn't know about so I gave her an extra star for that. It's an easy read, extremely basic. She writes as if she's talking to you, so that's good, I wasn't bored. The title is probably misleading. May be it should be called, "make extra money selling cupcakes".

1.0 out of 5 stars Wish I could give this book negative stars. November 1, 2013

Chose this rating because, apparently, there is no option to give negative stars. Elise Barnes should be ashamed of herself asking people to pay for something that could have easily been written by a couple of high school freshmen during study hall. I'd say she should give the contents away free on a blog but people would never get back the few minutes of their lives for the time spent reading it. I bought this item as a gift for my niece who has a fledgling cupcake business but she's already miles ahead of Miss Elise. Shame on me for not assuming the price was too high for 5 pages in the first place. I guess Bill Gates or Warren Buffett could give some great business advice in 5 pages -- Ms. Barnes certainly can't. Clearly, her confidence level dwarfs her expertise....
