This e-book and how-to guide was quite a treat to read! Although I consider myself well-versed on the issue of performance tuning, this e-book has lots of new and valuable information. I encountered several useful tips within the first couple dozen pages of reading. Being an e-book, I worried it might suffer from degraded quality of content and presentation. In fact, the ! e-book is put together very well and reads as well as anything on the bookshelf from a top publisher (and better than some). All in all, an outstanding e-book that is well worth the minimal fee!

Although information in this 100 page pamphlet is essential, it is hardly advanced.

If you are not familiar with Performance Monitor and SQL Profiler in particular, then this pamphlet is worth its price. If you have many years of experience using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler, and SQL performance tuning in general, you will get very little new information.

This is a good material for a beginner SQL DBA. But its lack of depth in technical coverage leaves a lot wanting to the experienced DBA.
