Although information in this 100 page pamphlet is essential, it is hardly advanced.
If you are not familiar with Performance Monitor and SQL Profiler in particular, then this pamphlet is worth its price. If you have many years of experience using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler, and SQL performance tuning in general, you will get very little new information. This is a good material for a beginner SQL DBA. But its lack of depth in technical coverage leaves a lot wanting to the experienced DBA. |
