This book was filled with vague information about owning and operating a shop, presented almost exclusively from the author's life experience. It read more as an autobiography than as a how-to-master something book. There was little concrete information offered. Frankly, nothing in this book isn't available using simple internet searches and nothing was specific enough to start any sort of business.

Having said that, for someone not trying to open a floral business, this might be a fun Saturday afternoon read into the life & times of a florist.

There is good info. on here but I found it lacking "meat". Needed more info.

enjoyed book was very helpful just wished for more information. Seemed a little outdated and reasources limited.

This book gave a thorough and easy to read account of all the aspects of the floral business, at least to a newcomer. It was well-written and informative.

I WAS A DISAPPOINTED IN THIS BOOK. I DID NOT THINK IT GAVE ENOUGH INFORMATION ON CONTACTS FOR THE WHOLESALE TRADE,PRICING AND BASIC START UP FACTS. IT SEEMED TO COVER ALOT ABOUT STORE SET UP AND DISPLAYS IN YOUR STORE FRONT. THIS IS SOMETHING THAT IS IMPORTANT, BUT I FEEL THAT EACH PERSON HAS A HAS THEIR OWN THOUGHTS ON HOW THEY WANT THER SHOP TO LOOK. I HAVE HAD OWN MY OWN RETAIL BUSINESS SO I FOUND ALOT OF THE INFORMATION IN THE BOOK COULD APPLY TO ANY TYPE OF BUSINESS. I WAS REALLY LOOKING FOR A MORE DETAILED BOOK ON THE FLORAL BUSINESS AND PRICING. THIS BOOK GAVE TO GENERAL AN OVER VIEW.

Not very impressed. Thought it would give me step by step business ideas, but instead it tried to teach me the correct way to store flowers. If you want to go into business, you need a class, not a book.
