A great read. I bought 5 more to give to friends. It makes me much more conscientious of how important choices are from biblical times and up to the current times. The author gives accounts of personal situations of choices which have meant life and death within his family. It tells how we make choices constantly and it's up to us on whether to make them positive or negative. It has helped me prioritize what's most important in my life. I love this sentence "Thankfully, we serve a Creator who can wipe the slate clean and remove our blemishes, giving us a brand new start."

A MUST READ!!!!! No matter what you are faced with, in whatever capacity - we all have choices to make... big or small. This book helps capitalize on the importance of every single choice and re focusing on not just the present moment of making a decision, but the long term effect that it has as well. No matter what choices have been made up until now, it's not too late to turn around and begin making better choices with a better perspective and mindset. The author of this book shares his real life experiences and helps give present day perspective on the choices we are faced with. He shares how crucial it is to start where we are NOW and move forward with fresh perspective and making the best choices as we each strive to make a difference in our sphere of influence in our world today.

I'm am blown away at this book. I grabbed it because the cover was interesting looking and the title grabbed my attention. I received the book today and can't put it down. I've read it cover to cover and would recommend to everyone, regardless of age. Absolutely amazing. Loved the honestly. Truly hit home.

If you were to read a book on choices, I think the first thing you would desire to know is how wise of choices the author of the book has made in his/her personal life. Jim Elliott once said, "God always gives His best to those who leave the choice with him." Richie Hughes has truly done that with this book...a book that has been a long-time coming...a book that is nothing more than one of God's men being obedient to what He has asked. Richie wrote this book on choices because He felt the Lord leading him to do so. He, like Jim Elliott has said, has made the choice to allow God to have the say-so. God said write it. And Richie wrote it. You will be blessed by this book because you would be blessed by the life of its author. In this work, Richie captivates his readers by leading them in narrative of the redemptive purpose of God in his family's life. No matter the dumb or unwise decisions we have made, God is still sovereign and His grace is sufficient. We have been given free will be the God who loves us, and this read will inspire you to make wise decisions as they relate to your present and future. I pray that you are blessed as others as you thumb your way through "Start Here, Go Anywhere!"

Start Here GO Anywhere is sincere effort to challenge all of us. No matter where we are in our lives in relationship to God, or our families, we really can make a new start. The book does an excellent job of referencing scripture to aid us in making right decisions. I think this is a must read for anyone in the educational field such as I am. It gives up powerful points to help young people who are in need of right and new directions. The story itself is tragic and triumph. It is also inspiration for all us who experiences Gods mercy. I can highly recommend Start Here Go Anywhere to anyone looking to make a fresh start - no matter what circumstance may be or have been.

Honesty is revealed through humility with this book! I could have stopped reading at chapter 5 "The Process Of Making A Choice" and been blessed, I'm looking forward to the dividends in my life from this book!

Life is about choices; No matter what we do, we are having to make a choice, rather its passively or actively.

In,"Start Here, Go Anywhere: Making good choices, recovering from bad ones ", Richie Hughes, explores from a biblical standpoint, the choices that we all make and how to not only recover from the bad ones (and we're going to make bad choices), but make choices, that, with prayer, would be pleasing to God.

In Chapter One, Richie Hughes, shares the following:
"This is because our choices will always reflect our values. When obeying God is a priority, our choices will reflect that. We will do our best to avoid making decisions that harm our witness or are contrary to God's Word."

Yet as we all know, we often make choices based on the spur of the moment, or emotions, or peer pressure and fear of not conforming to other's standards, whatever the reason, by trusting God, and learning from our past mistakes and allowing Him to work in our lives, we all can learn to, "Start Here, Go Anywhere: Making good choices, recovering from bad ones ".

Truth is....no one is perfect and through personal stories and anecdotes, Richie Hughes, shares about the loving grace and mercy of our Heavenly Father, who sees and knows, we all make mistakes and will make mistakes and shows how we can recover.

At first glance, the reader might be skeptical about reading,""Start Here, Go Anywhere: Making good choices, recovering from bad ones " but this is really, a very scriptural-based, affirming, well written, book that will help keep the reader strengthen and encouraged, that there is hope as long as we realize, we can turn to God, and He is always there.

Maybe you know someone in your life whose backslidden and know feels there is no hope, or maybe someone who doesn't know Christ and feels that they are not "worthy" or "good enough",or maybe, as a reader, you find yourself in a position, where you find it hard to go to God for forgiveness.....Whatever is the case,""Start Here, Go Anywhere: Making good choices, recovering from bad ones " is a wonderful reminder that we can recover in and through our Father in Heaven.

In Start Here, Go Anywhere, Richie Hughes explored the choices individuals make daily. People can choose to go down this path or they can go another way. He shared a number of personal stories that took courage to share to the world. His brother, Eddie made a choice that changed his life. Eddie loved to sing, act, and make people laugh. He got involved in the wrong crowd when he was reaching for his dreams. He went down the path of homosexuality. He eventually got diagnosed of the AIDS virus. His family made a choice to love him through it. Richie Hughes will walk readers through the process of our choices in life. The choices we make today we have to live tomorrow. Hughes has made the choice to always be there for his daughters and his family. Choices are big and choices are small. So choose wisely.

This book also included testimonials from lead singer of Third Day, Mac Powell and former Atlanta Braves pitcher, John Smoltz. They had to make choices in their own lives and they shared some of them.

I would recommend this book to teenagers and adults. Everyone needs to learn how to make great choices. We have to live with our decisions we make. It's important to read this book and choose the right paths for our lives. This book will help readers to choose to follow God and his ways. We shouldn't make excuses for our choices we chose to take. Richie Hughes teaches stories from the Bible that gives us hope when we mess up and make mistakes. The stories will lead readers to believe the truth of God's word. Everyone has to make decisions every day and we need to make the right ones. It's not too late to turn around and change your choice making process. This book can guide you to a better life.
