This book is a must read for anyone thinking of starting a gift basket business. It covers every aspect of the business in great detail and is very easy to understand. I highly recommend it.

I have a gift basket business in Jackson, MS and am 5 months into it. This book has been a life saver. Not only does it help you start a business, it tells you in detail how to secure items in the basket. I just made a basket for mailing, and would have not been able to have secured it for shipping had it not been for this book. It shows different forms you can use for bookkeeping to keep track of your money. It doesn't show actual photo pictures of baskets, but by reading it you can determine how to make the basket. I would highly recommend it to anyone starting a gift basket business.

This book is very well written! Mrs. Frazier did an excellent job of covering all the bases; it helped me to gain a better understanding of what to expect when starting a home-based gift basket business. The business plan was easy to understand and incorporate for my own situation, and she describes in detail (and with pictures) the basics of assembling a basket.

As someone who has only made gift baskets for family members, friends, etc., I found this book to be very informative and detailed. Developing a business plan is very important and the author gave great examples. It gave me a good idea of what I'm getting into, what to expect, and how much work is involved. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is just getting started.

I have to write to say what a great book this is. My father and I are thinking about getting in the basket business but we both decided the smart thing to do was to read up on the subject. After looking at several books on the subject we came across Mrs Fraziers book and happy to say it is the best book we have read. Before you plunk down alot of money read the book first you will learn alot. The thing I like alot about the book is it is so easy to read and understand and was very well written. I hope to be successful in this business and if I do this book made it possible,,Thank You Mrs Frazier.

Anyone will tell you that starting a business is a lot of preparation before getting into the acutal running of the company. This book focuses on that important fact. Any business that deals with a product to a customer should have insurance. Some people may choose this business because they think that it is inexpensive and easy to sell your product, and yes it can be that if you work hard at it but the business information presented in this book is what will help save you from yourself and lack of knowledge about running a business.

While it may seem improbable that someone could sue you for food poisoning because a product you sold them made them sick, it becomes very real when you are about to lose your house and all your possessions because you were not insured. Small business insurance is probably the most important thing that someone should have if they are a sole propiertorship. This may not be good news to someone who is looking to start a business on a limited budget but it a necessity. I was impressed with all the business information that was included in this book because a lot of home based business books skip over that section and instead focus on the product. If you have the idea than you already have the product, the rest is implementation.

Get this book if you have ideas but not aware of how to run a business.

The book is excellent! It gives the person just starting out all the details they need to know about the gift basket business. She gives you the nuts and bolts of the business, including a sample business plan, info on delivery services, insurance, and where to get your materials. I have read the entire book already and I plan to read it through again. It also gives you good solid advice on how to deal with your competition. The only thing lacking in the book was more pictures showing how the baskets are made. But I can get visual assistance elsewhere. If you're serious about getting into the gift basket business, this book is well worth your money.

I loved this book. I originally bought it because of the example business plan. The content of the book explained just about everything I needed to know to get started. The reason I bought it for, the business plan, was a great relief after reading so many "How To" books on business plans. I am so greatful that there was something out there that catered to a under-represented subject (i.e. industry specific home-based business plans and the gift basket business in general).

I found this book to be very informative with attention to even small details. I am in the process of setting up my own home-based gift basket business and am using this book every day. Great suppliers, but you have to add to them too. Easy to read and understand.

This book is full of information. It's especially good for beginners because it covers everything, even what to put inside the basket and how to make them,, even a sample business plan. Shirley mentions everything even little things that we've forgotten, and many times I've found myself saying, "Now, that's a good idea why didn't I think of that". This book really gets you motivated and determined to start your Gift Basket business. After reading it, I've found myself going out and actually trying to do something, and not just dream about it, because I feel like I can actually do it now... haha.. a little melodramatic, but it's a good book.
