Don't Judge a Book by its Title!, August 29, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: How to Start and Manage a Home Health Care Business (Paperback)
It was a mistake for me to judge this book by its title before I ordered it. The book has nothing to do with home care business -- nothing! It's a very general guide (in very elementary and abstract terms) on how to start any kind of a small business. You can get more practical and useful information about how to start a business from the office of Small Business Administration (SBA)-- for FREE!
In my opinion, when one searches for information on how to establish a specific business, in this case the home care business, the assumption is that he or she is interested in learning about different aspects of that particular business -- and in concrete, as opposed to useless generalities, at that. Not only does this book NOT meet that standard, it has nothing to do with home care business!
With all due respect to the authors, they have published an almost identical book with a slightly different title -- How to Start and Manage a Nursing Home Care Business. This book, too, has nothing to do with home care business. In fact, the two books are almost identical in different covers!
If you're interested in learning the nuts and bolts of Home Care Business, these books are NOT for you!
