No real content, but at least it's poorly written,

This review is from: Start My New T Shirt Printing Business (Paperback)
"Start My New T Shirt Printing Business"? Sure, why not? Just don't look to this book for help.In the many years I've reviewed books on Amazon, rarely have I given a lone star to a book. This book "qualifies" on a number of counts. Only twenty per cent of the pages, 17 of a claimed 85 are devoted to the actual process of printing tee-shirts (pages 11 - 28). The remainder of the 85 pages: a blank page (no kidding; it's paginated at the beginning of the book), two identical dedication pages (except that one includes a photo of the author's daughter), a table of contents, an index, and 52 pages of generic and even utterly banal -- "Lastly you need good luck" -- business advice. Given the book's large font and small format, only about 7x4.5 inches, there's very little content. Especially disappointing to me is that there is literally no information that compares the results of various kinds of printing. In the less than two pages about heat transfer, the author includes these useless nuggets: * "Heat transfer machines are also portable as and small in size, they can be taken just about anywhere such as a market stall." That's a direct quotation, including the nonsensical phrasing and comma splice. * "There are two types of machines, drum and press, both of which are self explanatory." Well, they're not self-explanatory to the novice, but that's all the author has to say about types of machines. * "The prices ranges will vary so if you want high quality software, plan to spend more." The bad news is that I bought this book, hoping to augment information easily found on the Web. The good news, I guess, is that you don't need to repeat my mistake. More bad news is that I have not found other books on this topic, even the quite large books, to be of much more use than this one. But, once again, the good news is...

If you are paying more than a couple of dollars for this book, then you are getting ripped off. Even then, I would consider looking for another book. There was serious gramatical errors all over the book. This book looked like it was written as a generic "new business" book where they substituted key phrases with "t-shirt" or "printing"

Grammer mistakes,
By Savvy Seconds (Phoenixville, PA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Start My New T Shirt Printing Business (Paperback)
This book has a good amount of grammer errors, spell-check was done and left. Someone should have re-read this book. I am a bit disappointed about such a good product with this many errors. :-(
