I purchased this as a gift for someone who is starting an on-line business from home. The complexities of individual needs in terms of business mean that much of any guidebook is not of interest to the potential entrepreneur. The author speaks at length of his experience and success, which may be uplifting but is not helpful. Still, there are sections that were very helpful. Read through the contents carefully before you buy.

I have made it through this book a little ways and have found some basic information. However, the cliché's, etc., do not really provide the actual "start-up" business information that I believe a serious business person needs. It is a good enough starting book, but I guess I was looking for a more true to life business start-up book. But if you are a "first time" home business person, I would recommend the book. Thanks!!

The book is easy to read and covers every aspect of how-to start a successful business. There's tips on collecting money from clients, keeping good records, why personal hygenie is a must (hard to believe people will show up to a job interview dirty and smelling of cigarette smoke), and why you should be nice to your competition.

Very informative and an eye opener for someone who wants to start a real home based business. It helps you to realize that you got to put work you need to learn the hardships, failure and mistakes in order to succeed in business.

Basic, useful information in an easy to read and well-organized layout. I first got this from the library and found so many helpful ideas that I purchased the book. If you've already read alot of books on the subject then there probably isn't anything new. But if you're just venturing into the home-based business field, this is a great start.

This book surprised me! I was expecting a book that was very informative, but it is also enjoyable to read! I recommend anyone who is interested in starting a business to get this book!

Lots of practical information in simple terms. I truly enjoyed reading this and will definitely reference it in the future. This does not read like a text book. The author's style is refreshing.
