Worthy.,

See them live, watch the lead singer cross his eyes, and if you aren't sure about buying this CD there at least pick up one of the free 3 song versions cycling everywhere. (On My Own, Start the Show, and Hindsight- all of which are quality songs. Around the time the album was released they stood at the door of nearly every show in the greater Philadelphia area handing these out. I managed to aquire a multitude of them, and started giving them to friends.) I recommend spending the money on them, though. They're good guys, and good at what they do.

Hands down, one of the best cds I own. If you like pop-punk to any degree, this is a cd for you. DLD put together a great set of songs here for every emotion. It will last you till you burn holes in your ears. These guys put some of the best songs together that I have ever heard, with their moving guitar lines, pumping bass and drums, and catchy lyrical lines. Its a great cd for anyones collection.

Don't Look Down are awesome,

Yeah, I could see how other people get their opinions from. Don't Look Down is nothing groundbreaking or original, but they take the formula that a lot of bands have used in the past and they expand upon it. The amount of hooks on this CD is ridiculous. These are the kind of songs that get stuck in your head all day, or for a few days in a row. Personal favorites are "Fade," "Not Alone," "Get It Right," and "Start the Show." If you like this CD, also check out the "Five" EP, and the bands Fall Out Boy and Tokyo Rose.

This is a pretty cool CD, if you are into pop-punk and rock. I've had this disc for about three years now, still a favorite of mine. "Get it Right" is awesome, so is the opening track. "What's Left" is a catchy nostalgic melodic pop-punk track that stays with you. Tremendous vocals, good guitar, OK production. Not really any bad tracks but some of them begin to sound the same after awhile, which is delightful ONLY if you like this style of music. Their follow up EP "Five" is mind-blowing (at least the first three songs on it), and the follow up to that (Fear In Love) is the most unique and adventurous (still catchy) of the three releases by this GREATLY undernoticed and underappreciated band. Pick this one up, its a good fun time.

Don't Look Down is truly a tremendous, remarkable find. Why they are not huge huge, I have no idea. Every single song is an outstanding melding of multiple intertwined melodies. Very complex and yet so simple-sounding. Extremely addicting. If you're anything like me, you will be hooked on every song, and find yourself wanting nothing but DLD for days, weeks, months. Honest. I don't know when my addiction will end; I don't want it to.

DLD Rocks,

Dont Look Down is in many ways, the same as a ton of other pop-punk bands. if your only a casual fan, some songs might sound alike. this isn't anything that hasn't been done before, but it is beter than most others' attempts at it. the songs are fast, driven, more punk than pop and catchy as hell. if you dont like pop-punk you wont be a fan, but if you do it will blow you away b/c they did it right on every song. Nothing felt like it was put on the CD just to have another song. Each one is a great piece of music on its own and that makes this CD a must have for any fan of bands of this genre. DLD is better than most bands you'll find and their many live shows kick ass too.

Although I love some of the songs on the cd, it gets repetitive after a while and I couldn't tell the difference between songs. Don't Look Down sounds like a ton of other punk bands I've heard before... nothing that special. I have to give them credit though, I have had some of those songs stuck in my head for ages.

ok this is a very good album. most of there songs r very good. but what is bad about this is the song order. u cannot listen to the whole cd witout skipping songs. its like u hear 2 good songs then u have to skipp the next 2. most of there songs r very good but there r songs that absolutly [bad]. they should have put those songs somewhere near the end so that u dont have to skip but they didnt. the best song in this album is "start the show". though this album is not the best, it is still very good so i recommend this to everyone who likes rufio or simple plan.

don't look down... what can i say? i bought their cd at their show. they are great live. i just wish they sounded as good as they did live on the cd. regardless, they are a lot of fun to listen to. especially when there's like some girl frustrating you perhaps because you met her at the show and she mentioned her boyfriend within the first 15 minutes of conversation.cop this cd it's worth it. |
