I am looking to start my own fashion retail boutique and bought this book with the intention of it giving me a good start up knowledge. This book was a waste of money for me, most likely because I didn't realize it was super basic and my knowledge exceeded it. I was a business major and have been reading tons of articles on entrepreneur.com. Therefore most of what this book had to offer was a waste of my time. I skipped a few chapters as it was not pertaining to woman's retail clothing and the information in those chapters are so basic that I think most people going into this business would already know.

If you are buying this, make sure you have no knowledge whatsoever about fashion, clothing and retail. Also, you are one of those people who woke up with a vision to open a store without any solid grounds, no customer base, no product in mind and no strategy in place.

There is another book out titled "Fashion Entrepreneur" that is 3X this book price and will be a better value.
