Entrepreneur Robert W. Bly knows what it takes to start a business after age 50 --and--more importantly--keep it running. As he says in the opening chapter, "These are not get-rich-quick schemes but real businesses that will require hard work, planning and organization to make them successful. To help you, this book provides ideas about how to set up your business, organize your home office, market your services, and operate as a virtual company." (Page 10)

This book covers eight different businesses including: Freelancing, Consulting, Coaching, eBay, Internet Marketing, Close-Outs, Import/ Export, and Real Estate. Each chapter includes excellent and detailed action items so you do more than read a well-crafted book. You can take action and achieve your goals.

I've read a number of Bly's books and this one is excellent. I recommend it.

This book was disappointing for a Robert Bly. I was hoping to learn more about setting up a Facebook business page, and it wasn't there. The rest was pretty much common sense that you could figure out on your own. The book is pretty much useless. Seems like he's now just spitting out books to see where they land. Very disappointed.

Robert Bly is well-known writer so this book is easy to read. It has some great ideas and deals with some of the issues of starting a home business after 50. I have it on my recommended resource list for anyone thinking of starting a home business. The only idea that seems not to work for a home business would be the Close-outs sales and the Import/Export because usually home business zoning usually doesn't allow storage at home for great deal of product before it is sold.

This book reiterates what other books have said about separating your work space from other rooms and only do work in that room. It was good advice because this really works. I still need to get some other rooms in order, especially the work shop that all the house junk seems to be stored in. A lot of good points to starting a successful business know matter what your age.

Very disappointing. I have some other books Robert Bly has written and feel that this book is not up to his standard. Information is quite pedestrian.
