Bland - not worth buying,

This book is bland, bland, bland. Basically it was written by someone who knows nothing about the vending business...they just did a little research on it and put together a lousy book. I own a successful vending business and thought a book from Entreprener Magazine might be handy to get some new ideas from...but it's not. There are few good ideas in this book, old or new. There are better books out there on vending - this one is a waste of time & money.

Better vending books available...,

I just assumed that a book by Entrepreneur Magazine would be of the same caliber as their magazine. I was wrong. I've read all the best-selling vending books offered here at Amazon and this one is the worst (see the best, below). The author clearly knows very little about the vending industry. It reads like a high school level book report, which I would give only a "C" grade. Most of the material stems from "superficial" interviews with established route operators. The section which covers how to locate machines uses a lady's stocking (hosiery) vendor as an example... far from a typical machine. [...] There is so much MISinformation or superficial information as to render the book useless. An unknowing reader would not be able to differentiate fact from fiction. The best book I've read regarding how to start and run a vending business is Vending Success Secrets. That book covers everything a new route operator needs to know, and also offers a lot of helpful tips for even an experienced person such as myself. From reading all the books which came out after the first edition I get the impression that many of those books have plagiarized Vending Success Secrets, which seems to have become the industry "Bible." Anyway, I'd pass on this book.

Just began reading, criticisms are biased, this is a helpful starter!,

This review is from: Start Your Own Vending Business (Paperback)
Although I just started reading this book, I have already learned how to avoid the numerous scams out there. I am also happy to see that it takes you through the typical day of a vendor's workday. This is the real deal, not the glitz and glamor, not the promise of great wealth for little effort. I'm sorry to see how many biased (dare I say...compensated) reviewers there are on Amazon sabotaging legitimate, helpful books to help sell their competitor's third rate promises. I gave this book 5 stars partly to help it's overall rating, partly because I see that it is a legit book on the topic. Glitz and promises are just going to make you poor while making someone else rich. Good luck.

This is the second book on vending that I have read recently. I enjoyed this book due to the good examples that the author used.
