Chapters address the issues of setting up a business framework, the services one must offer (including feeding, grooming, exercise, and health care), marketing basics, insurance and legal matters, financial considerations, considerations to take into account when looking after specific animals such as dogs, cats, birds, rodents, fish, ferrets, rabbits, reptiles, barn animals, and wild animals, things to take into account when expanding one's business, and much more. An absolute "must-have" for anyone seriously contemplating a career as a pet caretaker.

I purchased this book back in early 2005 and it has been a wonderful resource.

I highly recommend this book - it will point you in the right direction on things to think about when setting up and marketing your service.

It has helped me start and build a successful pet sitting service.

"Start your own pet sitting business" offers valuable information and excellent advice for setting up your own pet sitting business. If you are considering doing this, it is a must read. For the price, this book is an excellent bargain.

This is a very informative book, however I didn't feel it covered the essence of the job. Have you ever worked a job and not called in sick for six years? I have. Do you know what it's like to work in 6 hours of steady rain? These scenarios are not addressed in most pet sitting books. You get the technical part of the job. Not the human side of the job.

I had such high hopes for this book but was disappointed. It gives only a broad overview of pet-sitting and is absent of many specific, helpful details. If you are truly looking to start a pet-sitting business, I would pay a little higher price for a more thorough book!

This book is very easy to read, clear, concise, and answered many questions regarding the Pet Sitting business. The reading experience was pleasurable.

I just needed some basic information and forms and this book provided me with this. It was great for a beginner.

Great resource book for your library if you are thinking of turning your love of pets into a business. Provides a groundwork to begin and helps you focus your thought process.

I have not started my business but I am in the process and this book is very good and has very good ideas that covers all bases
