This book offers a great overview for anyone who is looking into starting a pizzeria, sandwich shop, coffee shop, etc. This book is especially helpful if you have never worked on the management end of a restaurant. I am looking into starting a sandwich shop, and this book had some great suggestions about running a food business. I have worked in a sandwich shop, waited tables, etc.; however, I have no experience with aspects like inventory, suppliers, or other back of the house matters.

This book was a good starting point for my research. It covers a broad range of subjects, such as inventory control, potential layouts, equipment, etc. It doesn't go into great detail on any one area, but it has a lot of good advice and is a good place to begin.

If you have experience running a restaurant, then this book might be too basic and simplistic for you. Otherwise, this book is a great overview and will give you a lot to look into and research further.

I found this book to be very easy to read, very complete, I'd thik it covers all the areas you need before starting a food business. The advantage to analizing 5 kinds of food businnes is that you can combine the ideas so you can come up with your own. Very goos book.

Not what I expected, More of a common sense book, really doesn't give you enough information on the start up mostly common sense. would not recommend.
