Rich Mintzer is obviously a writer by profession and not a travel agency. The author has a very difficult time moving from cliche and generalities to specifics. This book is short any specific insight into creating a travel business. Long on platitudes and feel good statements. Mintzer seems at times to run out of content, so much so that at one point the author even devotes a section on anti-virus software! The only person making money off of these book sales is Entrepreneur Press.

I thought this was one of the better travel business books I've read - it was to the point, clear and dealt with matters of importance including utilizing your computer and the web, which is so important in this business. It also included info on tours, cruises, seniors and setting up your home office - which is important as this is your lifeline. Nice book for someone starting out.

I have found this book a must have for starting a travel business. It has been extremely helpful in language that anyone can understand. A definite must if you are wanting to start your own business.

This book gave lots of insight into getting set up as a home based travel agent.
