Product Description
This dual fan hard drive cooler provides maximum airflow for hot-running hard drives, preventing overheating failures and extending the life of the drive. The fan unit mounts in any free 5.25 inch half height drive bay, and the hard drive is mounted directly behind it using the supplied 3.5 inch to 5.25 inch adapter brackets; the fans draw fresh external air into the case through a removable, cleanable filter and blows the cooler air over the surface of the hard drive - a cost-effective solution that can help extend the life of hot running 7200 RPM, 10,000, or 15,000 RPM IDE and SCSI hard drives in servers or workstations.

Good for the price,

I don't use these for hard dirve cooling but these fans work great on keeping my Silverstone FT01 cooler. The reason I gave it less stars was because I had to trim the edges to get them to fit into my case. The removable front panels are great for cleaning out the dust. I have two installed, they are a little noisy but alot of the time I have on my headphones. I found out later that they do have a model with three fans installed but it was not avaliable when I purchased these.

If you're looking for a good bay cooler..this is a decent one...Only real problem is the noisy little fans...so I just changed them out for a couple of quieter ones

I had an empty 5.25" bay on a case that they no longer make covers/parts for, so I decided to throw one of these in for increased air flow. I have to say from the start that how well this product cools isn't really an issue to whether my PC is in acceptable temp. ranges, but the fact is that after installation I was disappointed with the lack of airflow produced. The reason I rated at 4 stars instead of less is that although the suction power is minimal, it will work well for its purpose - cooling a 3.5" HDD - and still provides better cooling than an empty slot would provide. Just don't got hoping you're going to get 2-3 degrees cooler from this. Also, it's quiet enough that I don't notice it running, so there was really no downside to using the product since I had nothing else for that bay.
Summary: Low airflow, would help cool HDD, reasonable price.
