The backing is easy to peel off and the stick on smooth surface very well.

Using these in an outdoor application, with weather variables, did not produce the desired results.

About half of them that I placed had come unstuck after just a couple of days.

These 1" square flat self-adhesive stick-up are near perfect for taming dangling mouse/keyboard cables. They have 4 small slits that accept standard nylon zip cable ties (sold separately). Having a larger sticky surface than most stick-ups, they adhere very well to the bottom of desks. There are a few dozen (50?) in the $15 pack, so it is good for those that install many computers (IT support staff). Most people need only one or two squares. (Cables for mouse, keyboard, USB). When you relocate, you cut the zip ties and leave the thin-flat squares stuck under the desk for the next installation.

I had been looking for inexpensive, effective, and unabtrusive self-adhesive cable tamers for years, and was pleasantly surprized by how well these (fairly large) flat squares work.

These are a MUST for cable management. Buy this and a 500-pack of zip-ties and you can secure nearly anything to anything, as long as the first thing is a small cable, and the second thing is a clean, flat surface.

In the aircraft industry, we use a similar product, except it has a much more serious epoxy, and each one comes with a fixture to mount it to a surface and keep pressure until the epoxy dries. They are bonded with an epoxy rated at 4,700 psi shear strength, and I can hang from one. Those, however, are $1 - $3 each.

These startech mounts don't compare to the aircraft-certified mounts, but they're a fraction of the price. In the non-aircraft world, these are pretty good. They are fairly strong in shear, but the bond is pretty weak if you are pulling in the direction normal to the surface on which they mount, so you want to make sure you mount them where the only load on them is a side-load. A small sustained load pulling away from the surface, maybe 5 - 10 pounds, will separate the mount after a few hours.

These are exactly what I expected with a nice twist. The adhesive backing is extremely durable and sticky. I am using these in a CNC Machine shop to keep wires under control inside the machine controllers. They STICK! Every surface was properly prepped and cleaned before application. For the first 24-48 hours they do not hold as well as one would like, but as the adhesive cures, they become almost IMPOSSIBLE to remove. You will not pull them off cleanly, that is for certain. Exactly what one wants in this environment, a good solid hold.

These work well, but I think the adhesive needs improvment. If you install a wire-tie point with any continuous presure from the cables, these will eventually work loose on some surfaces.

I spent a few hours using these adhesive squares to run a 100'+ cat5 cable and I must admit I was extremely pleased when I was done, It turned out great. Then the next day, 3-4 squares fell off the wall .. no biggie .. I replaced them with new ones. Then the next day, I did the same thing. A week later half my cable is on the wall, the other half has fallen to the floor. 17/48 of my squares have now fallen. Very disappointed, however, it was a low risk investment. I'll try a different vendor and cannot recommend this product if you are sticking it to a wall or the door frame.

I used some of these to tie cords back on a monitor that I wall mounted. It does a very nice job at keeping them together and nice looking and it blends in to the wall because it is clear. I will be using some more to tie up a shower curtain to be used as a projector screen soon and I imagine they will look very nice as well. This is a very nice invention.

These things have trouble sticking if you have any pressure on them for the first 24-48 hours... after that, your problem will be getting them off without damaging the wall. I was very shocked to see how sturdily they were in place considering how cheap they are.

I used these to hang some cables under my desk, and they worked really well. The key to using them, as other reviewers have pointed out, is to put them in place and let the adhesive cure over night before adding any weight.
