Buy this gun. Theres no such thing as a good plastic gear box., September 21, 2007
Trust me buy this gun. it's the cheapest you'll get for a metal gearbox AEG, i am out 100 dollars and no reliable gun because i chose to try plastic gear boxes. Trust me either spend 70 dollars on an good quality expensive gun and not have problems or be out 100 dollars on 2 guns that dont shoot or cant even fire correctly. this is the best gun to meet your airsofting standards,
Pros
-FULL METAL GEAR BOX
-hi-cap magazine
-its a m4a1, the gun is bitchin'
-300+ fps with .2 gram bb's (.2 gram not .12)
-probably wont have any problems
Cons
-the winding of a hi-cap will be a problem and takes out the realism but hey 300 or so rounds is a fair trade off huh?
p.s. this is my moms account

Best gun I have, December 29, 2006
this is the best gun i've ever shot, and i've airsofted for 4+ years. I got this for my birthday on the 9th, and it its not faulty at all. and the description lies, but its for good. it is not 330 fps, but 350! it is also 500 RPM on full-auto, but i suggest you keep it on semi-auto if u r fighting long range. if you want to charge someone, put it on full-auto and you'll win garunteed! i suggest getting a firepower pistol for a back up, they are only $15-$30, and this gun and those pistols are a good pair! this thing is also really quiet if ur shooting full-auto. if u have chain mesh masks, don't shoot in the mesh at a range of 5-10 feet with .12 gram bbs, the bb will brake and send shattered pieces of bb in and/or around your eye (trust me, it happend to my brother, but it went around his eye)
I suggest 12. gram bbs apposed to .20, if you load the the whole mag with them, it jams alot. its better to load the mag with just 12. grams or a mixture of both. also the hi-cap mag, i was loading a 2000 pack into it and it depleded a 4th of the container, thats 500 bb's!
overall this is a great gun, but even that is an understatement.

Beautiful look, beautiful feel, good performance, while it worked..., February 10, 2008
I've used other airsoft rifles from CYMA and know how weak they can be. And I've seen my friends spend $135.00 on AK-47 AEGs and seen how hard and fast they can hit. This gun totalled about $113.00 with s&h and was very much like my friends' AK-47s. It can hit fast, hard and is accurate up to about 30 or 40 yards depending on how you adjust the hop up. That's with .20s.
The only problem I had was that the battery it included dies way too fast (15-20 minutes), and that led to my gears not having full revolutions, and something inside died on me, so now it doesn't work. I'm in the process of getting that fixed, and I'm pretty sure that my results aren't typical. Buy a new battery for it. (It brings an 8.4V 1100mAh NiMH.)
It's a beautiful replica of the M4A1, or A4, whichever, and it's weighted very nicely. It shoots very nicely when it works, and the picatinny/weaver rail under the carry handle lets you mount scopes and other things. The smell of a little oil is normal since the gearbox cycles very quickly and has been lubricated beforehand.
I would recommend it, hoping that yours works without damaging the internals. It might be best just to upgrade them to something more durable when you get yours.
