"SOLD" on his advance music review,

I had the privilege of hearing all but one song on this album as a survey from an advance music promotion. I loved it immediately, and my response then was, "I will purchase this album as soon as it's released! I LOVE it!" Well, it was released today, and it's in rightful spot in my Cd player. "Yee Haw" is currently getting a lot of air-play on the radio, but he has not even scratched the surface as far as great radio releases are concerned. A personal favorite is "Startin' With Me", but it's really hard to choose just a few songs. Although I was not even aware of "Jake Owens" before the song "Yee Haw" hit the radio waves, I'm a fan now. This guy is going somewhere in country music! Welcome, Jake, you're in good company! I highly recommend his music!

Jake Owen could very well be one of the best new young country singers I've heard in a while. This DVD is loaded with new upbeat music.

Great debut,

Jake Owen shows a lot of range, from the fun-times of "Yee Haw" and "Eight Second Ride" to the soulfulness of "Hard Not to Love You", this CD is great from front to back and sideways. "Starting With Me" and "Ghosts" are my favorite songs. Jake Owen seems like a down-home guy and I look forward to hearing more of his traditional-type music in the future.

"Startin' with me" is hit after hit! Jake will have a tough time choosing singles from his debut album because every song is pure country and they all rock!!! When I first heard YEEHAW on the radio, I thought "one hit wonder" but boy was I wrong! This is a great album and worth the money!! I had the chance to meet Jake and he is a great guy. I urge everyone to buy this album!!

AMAZING DEBUT....THIS GUY IS GONNA BE A STAR!!!!,

This cd is fantastic. If you like your country flavored with rhythm and blues then this disc won't disappoint. I picked up the cd because of the song YEE HAW but after listening to the entire disc I think YEE HAW is one of the weaker songs on the CD. There isn't a song on the disc that I don't like.
Not only is Mr Owen an AWESOME singer but he wrote every song on the cd as well. Based on the debut release I predict Mr Owen is gonna be a big star. I buy a lot of music and this is by far the best disc I have purchased this year. If he continues to release music of this quality then he has won a fan for life. Fantastic edition to my music collection. Grab your copy today.

Great album and Great guy,

This is one of my favorite albums by far. Eight Second Ride is probably my favorite song on the album but there are several other that are strong efforts. The only song I don't like is "You Can Thank Dixie." It isn't a bad song but it misses the fun or deep emotion you find in the rest of the album. I think the idea to bring in Randy Owen was great for his debute album but this song just didn't work for me.
Almost every other song has a strength. It's easy to relate in some way to "Startin' with me" and "Ghosts." On the other hand you have "The Bad in Me" which has an original sound that just sucks you right into the album on the first track. This is one album I can and halve listened to over and over. One additional note: If you get a chance to, try and see Jake live. He is a really nice guy and after he gets a few drinks in him he doesn't like to start playing. I have seen him run two concerts well over their time limit because he enjoyes music so much.

This is a great CD. Each and every song on the CD is a winner! Recently, we went to a Brooks & Dunn/Alan Jackson concert and Jake was the opening act. He's also easy on the eyes ladies!

Some excellent and some not so great,

This album has a couple of excellent songs on it. "Startin with Me" and "Ghosts" make the album worth the purhcase. I'm not a big fan of the entire album, but those two songs are some of the best songs I've heard this year out of Nashville. Plus, you can't go wrong with a guy that sings about having his girl hold the cup that he's spitting his dip inside.
