Starting a High Definition Church really opens the door for someone who is considering starting a new church. In fact I would call it a "must read" for those embarking on this God given journey. This book is written from a personal perspective that comes from Ron Sylvia's own experiences. It is a wonderful resource and guide to reaching the post modern culture we now live in. I am thankful that God has given Ron such a passion and vision for ministry!

Ron's book gave me a process to think through and plan for our church launch. I used this book to pace our efforts and set milesones for each stage - Dream, Design, Launch, Development stages. For each of the launch stages, Ron provides insight and examples that really helped us focus. This is a 'must read' for Church planters that are translating the vision that they have from God, into a process to launch a focused church.

As we planned to launch a church in San Antonio, Texas we didn't know what to expect or what difficulties lay ahead. We had far more quesitons than answers.

"Starting High Definition Churches" was a HUGE help. Six months after reading the book and three months into the launch we have benefited numerous times in our planning and decision making. Ron shares his personal experiences and insights from his church launch that will encourage, guide, and even warn the church launcher of the struggles to expect. He did a great job at preparing us for the experieces we have encountered.

You'll find principles for strategy, relevance, and courage that will aid in the success of a church launch. If you're serious about launching a church then learn from someone who has done it and is willing to share his successes and failures. I am so glad I read this book.

Ron Sylvia's book--Starting High Definition Churches presents a challenge to all current and potential church leaders to be relevant to the current generation so that we can reach them. Ron gives practical advice from his own personal experiences which gives us great assistance in accomplishing the adventure of relating to the younger generation. Ron has the experience and success to back up what he shares in his book---talk about standing on the shoulders of giants!!!!!!!

Ron Sylvia hits a grand slam with his book High Definition Churches. This book is packed full of practical advice that any church launcher will use. Ron takes real world experience and weaves it around Biblical principles to present a work that will be the manuel (how to) for church leaders for years to come. He asks two questions at the beginning of the book that have transformed how I look at launching. Are you called to church launching? Are you called to the area you are launching in? If you can't answer yes to both questions then it is a short read. However, and affirmitive to those questions opens a door to a worthwhile journey. The easy narrative makes this a book that you can pick up time and time again and really use. It is a book you might have your church launch staff read. I highly recommend it.

I found Ron Sylvia's book very practical and very applicable. I'm a church planter and found his story remarkable and his application points right on. Leaders in our church are reading his book. I know it will make a positive impact.

Sylvia's book will caution, challenge, inspire, and instruct church leaders...especially church planters. The book is laid out as a time line through the first year of a church. Practical and applicable suggestions will enable a reader to gain better understanding of the church planting process. This is a must read for those involved in church leadership.

I know Ron and I have been a part of church planting for the last 20 years. This book rocks! Church at the Springs rocks! They have 5 worship oppotunities every weekend! In fact, God has used this book to challenge me to get out of my comfort zone: I am going to Tampa to launch a new church. I hope to make Tampa a hard place to get to Hell from, just the Church at the Springs is doing in Ocala. Ron, thanks for a workable process!

As a church planter I have made it my life to learn all I can about my calling. I have read every scripture passage, devoured every book, attended every seminar, taken every course and talked to experienced (and successful!) church planters wherever and whenever I can. Nothing - other than scripture - comes close to this book for a simple, successful strategy. This is the "must have" handbook for church planters of every denomination in any country.
The strategies Ron Silva describes are biblically based and proven by the success of The Springs (Silva's church) and the many, many new churches that were planted by men and women who follow the biblical guidelines. Combine God's leading and calling with this scriptural strategy and you'll end up with a recipe for a God-designed church that is changing lives and growing daily (see Acts 2!). That is success (as God defines it!) in any corner of this world and that is the path outlined in this book.
