Just finished this wonderful book that describes a life of running. Joe has given me a new appreciation of my own life of running. I never matched his high school times but I felt as though he was writing about me. It sounded so similar. I also grew up in the midwest(Illinois) and have been running for some 45 years now. There have been ups and downs but it has been a constant in my life that Joe describes in his. I can't wait to read the rest of his kindle books that are such a bargain for what he teaches about running and life in general.
