I'm in sixth grade right now, and in the summer of 2005, I was really scared about starting a whole new part of school. I was afraid I'd get lost, I would get bad grades, or none of the teachers were nice. But I was totally wrong for thinking about all of that. This book reassured me for the years to come, and made me feel that I wasn't alone. There were thousands of girls across the country starting middle school too. I felt prepared as I walked into the halls of middle school for the first time, and I felt confident that I would survive. And I did, for it's almost the end of the school year, and I'm having a great time!

I was going to a new school for tenth grade and I just happened to love "American Girl" books. Anyway, even though it's supposed to be specifically for middle schoolers, it can also be for high schoolers starting out or anyone going to a new school. The information in here is helpful and very informative. The illustrations are great and the quizzes are very enjoyable. I reccomend this book for any girl between the ages of eleven and seventeen.

I really enjoyed this book... I got it last year before I went to sixth grade. It gives really good advice on what to expect in middle school, but every time I read it I wish I went to the exact school that they're describing- they don't talk about cliques or anything like that and that's a problem in my school. But I still really like this book.

I am going into middle school this year and this book answered all my questions. I think anyone who is nervous about starting middle school should read this book.

This book was very helpful to me. I liked it beacause it showed you everything you needed to know to become successful in just about any middle school.There was orginization tips, dressing tips, and even the low down on teachers! I think that this book would be helpful to anyone starting middle school soon. This was definitely a great buy.

My daughter started middle school this year and has read this book from cover to cover at least 5 times. She has always liked American Girl books and I don't have to worry about her reading inappropriate material. Highly recommend for any girl starting middle school.

This book was so great!!!! When I first got this book I didn't know squat, but ever since I got this book middle school doesn't seem that much scary to me anymore. So if your starting middle school then you should buy this book,also if you in 7th, 8th, and even beyond use this book for help throughout your school years!

My daughter loved this book. I purchased it for her just before she started 6th grade. She read it over and over as if it were her personal "school-bible". It gave her a good boost of confidence that she needed to transfer to a bigger, newer school.

She still references the book and pulls it out every now and then, even 2 years later.

I highly reccomend this for any girl starting middle school to help give them a sense of what is ahead and expected.

I LOVED this book a whole lot!!! My mom and my aunt had a party for six girls that were going into sixth grade and gave each girl this book and they absolutely loved it!!! I would recmmend this book for anybody starting middle school or somebody who is already in middle school!!!!-kristen

I work in education and that's why I picked up this book at the library. I wish I had HAD this book before I started Middle School. This book talks about lockers, and friends, and almost everything else you can think of for starting M.S. The quizzes were fun for me to take, and this book was fun for me to read even as an adult! If your daughter is starting M.S. get her a copy of this book! Def. worth the money!
