Review
Clearly written and should guide the child to a number of insights into insect structure and behavior.
The series encourages children to become close observers of nature and also provides step-by-step experiments and activities to perform. Hickman has done a good job of finding interesting tidbits of information and making comparisons. The type is large, and the colorful drawings are attractive.
Activities designed to observe bugs in nature emphasize studying insects without harming them or removing them from their habitats.
