Jill Hudson, MS, CCLS, is a certified child life specialist. Trained at John Hopkins University, she formerly worked at Children s Hospital of Philadelphia. She received her master s degree in autism/Asperger Syndrome from the University of Kansas. She is the author of Prescription for Success: Supporting Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders in the Medical Environment, Cabins, Canoes and Campfires: Guidelines for Establishing a Camp for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and Out and About: Preparing Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders to Participate in Their Communities (with Amy B. Coffin). Jill consults and presents nationally and internationally. Brenda Smith Myles, Ph.D., is chief of programs and development at the Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence and an associate professor in the Department of Special Education at the University of Kansas. The recipient of the 2004 Autism Society of America s Outstanding Professional Award and the 2006 Princeton Fellowship Award, she has written numerous articles and books on Asperger Syndrome and autism, including the recent Comprehensive Autism Planning System (CAPS) for Individuals with Asperger Syndrome, Autism and Related Disabilities--Integrating Best Practices Throughout the Student s Day (with S. Henry), Asperger Syndrome and Adolescence: Practical Solutions for School Success (with D. Adreon) -- winner of the Autism Society of America s Outstanding Literary Work. Myles is on the executive boards of several organizations, including the Organization for Autism Research and Maap Services Inc. In addition, she was recently acknowledged as the second most productive researcher in ASD in the world from 1997 to 2004.
