This collection from 1994 is packed with stuff to keep the reader moving. Michael's graduation, the death of a family member, Gordon and Tracey's engagement. Seeds are also planted for Michael's future career...

Johnston is best when she's juggling the subplots of different family members, and things go into high gear in this TPB, probably because there are now so many characters in this strip with their own lives! This is one of the best FBOFW collections.

I wouldn't recommend a newbie to start with this collection, though. I'd try a few of the earlier ones first so the payoff here is greater when you get to it.

Lynn Johnston is my favorite comic strip writer/artist, and FBOW is my favorite comic strip. Highlights of this edition include Michael's graduation,Gordon and Tracey's engagement and the death of Farley,which is truly moving.

This collection has it all: laughter, sorrow, etc. I read it from beginning to end non-stop. Every page had something surprising. It was a pleasure to read. I'll start it again today.

I love this cartoon and I loved the book. It helped me catch up on some columns I missed. I really love this family. Her comments add dimension.

Another Great book to visit the Patterson's with. "For Better / For Worse" has to be one of the best comic strips of all time. It really makes you think, "They are just like my family", and if you do not have kids, read the books so you know what to prepare for.
