This review is from: Starting Today: 100 Poems for Obama's First 100 Days (Paperback)
Hope was the message, but the message is hard to deliver upon. "Starting Today: 100 Poems for Obama's First 100 Days" is a collection of poems discussing Obama's early work as President of the United States and how that message of hope and change has weathered the storm of time and politics. "Starting Today" is an insightful read, and very highly recommended. "Small Parable for the Sixtieth Day" by Catherine Barnett: A man carries an armful of dogwood into the bus,/the branches wrapped in the day's paper,/the news no longer legible or haunting/or obsolete but put to use,/damp, darkened, waterlogged, bleeding/against the early spring cuttings.
