This season was one of my favorite of the whole series and I am a die-hard SVU fan. Even though I can watch the reruns on USA Network, I have been waiting patiently for this season to be released. This season offered more tension between Olivia and Elliot than any of the others and it also showed more of what made Elliot, Elliot. The show has concentrated on the character of Olivia for so long I feel like I have a good grasp of her (and boy has she come a long way since the first episode). This season gave Christopher Meloni a chance to shine more. He is a great actor and deserves more credit. This season gives him the attention he deserves.

As for the original Law & Order, I like the newer versions better (and the earlier ones when Sam Waterson starts playing the ADA). Just ask anyone in my family and they know by heart that all the L&O's are my favorite shows!

Some of the episodes are great. Some episodes are pathetic. Criminal tells cops he murderd a woman and child. Cops arrest and prosecuter charges def and the judge throws out the case because defendant confessed without his lawyer present. That would not happen as depicted in the show. If defendant starts spontaneously talking and does not demand an attoney that will be admissable in court. Exaggerations ruined a few episodes that could have been fantastic without the ridiculous situations that do not happen during murder trials.

This is a great series and has remained so. This is an offshoot of the original Law and Order series. This series focuses on sexual crimes, normally not dealt with on television. The main crimes are rape, child molestation, and everything in between. I am very glad the Law and Order series decided to tackle this once taboo topic and I believe this series has helped open the discussion of rape and sexual abuse which is one of the reasons why I love this series so much.

The acting is great, the plots are amazing and draw in you from the first "dum dum". Since it deals with sensitive subject matter, the episodes may not be appropriate for all viewers. There is high replayability with these episodes which is why it is worth the purchase. If you enjoy crime dramas, especially crime dramas that help open debate and deal with taboo topics, then this is the show for you. I guarentee you will enjoy it.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: The Seventh Season is the season if I am correct in which Markiska Hargitay received her first Emmy Award and Golden Globe for the disturbing but excellent, 911 episode. Christopher Meloni also got to shine this season, I just adore these two talented actors. Another standout episodes include: Raw, Infected, Class, Manipulated, and Fat. I highly recommend purchasing season 7, don't wait place your order today. Enjoy!

I love Law and Order: SVU and have been a fan for many years. The Special Victims Unit deals with crimes of rape, incest, and child abuse to name a few, topics that were often ignored on TV before this show came out and opened the forum for discussion on it. I also think it's empowering that the detectives in any rape case encourage the victims to come forward and get help because so many victims choose not to for various reasons. Mariska Hargitay and Chris Meloni (Benson and Stabler) bring such emotion to their characters and they are both phenomenal actors and have such chemistry together that you love them as a team. Even though this show has been on for many years, they still manage to bring new topics and ideas to the episodes. The show is so well written and riveting and you are hooked from the "dunk dunk" sound in the first segment. Every episode is amazing!

Some notable episodes in this season were "911" where a call from a little girl named Maria who says she's locked in a room brings Benson to be drawn into her life and keep her on the phone when others say it's a hoax (Hargitay did a phenomenal, emotional performance worthy of her Emmy!); and "Venom" where Tutuola's son asks Benson for help regarding a conversation he overheard about a murder in an alley after he's arrested as a suspect. Attention turns to his cousin Darius (Ludacris) which reveals a shocking family tie that he is actually not Tutuola's ex-wife's nephew but her son! Ludacris's performance as a devious criminal was amazing! As with any other season, you won't be disappointed!

Law and Order SVU season seven continues to impress. The stories never seem to get old and the thrills, drama, action, and a little humour thrown in for good measure, tantalise the taste buds of the eyes. The actors and actresses, including Mariska, Ice T, and BD Wong, are just superb in their roles. I will be pre-ordering season 8 as soon as I can....I can't wait to have the full series of my favourite TV show, Law and Order SVU.

On a side note, I have just finished watching Law and Order Criminal Intent, and will definately be purchasing those as they become available.

SVU Season 7 is a great season. This season we have the excellent 911 episode. Mariksa did an excellent job on this episode. She made you feel her emotions and kept your attention through the entire episode. She definetly deserved the Emmy for her role. Great job. Chris also had some good episodes in this season as well. This is by far one of the best drama shows on TV. You can't go wrong with purchasing this season.
